FA Cup holders Manchester City host Newcastle in Saturday's quarter-final and we have picked out a 6/1 Bet Builder for the all-Premier League clash.

City had to come from 2-1 down to beat the Magpies 3-2 in a thrilling league fixture at St James' Park in January and another high-scoring contest could be on the cards.

Over 3.5 Goals

Newcastle's last ten Premier League matches have produced a total of 49 goals – 23 for the Magpies and 26 against them – so over 3.5 goals looks a solid #PickYourPunt selection for Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final.

The Magpies started the week with a 3-2 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and their defence is unlikely to fare much better against a star-studded City forward line.

The Citizens are missing injured playmaker Kevin De Bruyne but Julian Alvarez, Phil Foden, Bernardo Silva and Jeremy Doku are all capable of creating chances for Erling Haaland.

The striker scored five goals in City's 6-2 win at Luton in the last 16 and he also helped himself to a hat-trick in a 6-0 rout of Burnley at this stage of last season's FA Cup.

City have struggled to keep clean sheets recently and both teams have scored in eight of their last 11 matches in all competitions.

Their last two home games produced 3-1 wins over Manchester United in the Premier League and Copenhagen in the Champions League.

Nine of Newcastle's last ten league fixtures have featured over 3.5 goals – and the exception was this month's 3-0 home win – over Wolves so an entertaining cup tie is expected.

Julian Alvarez to score anytime

De Bruyne's injury means Argentina World Cup winner Alvarez should start for City and he can add to his goal tally against a generous Newcastle defence.

The forward has been terrific in this season's Champions League, scoring five goals in just 245 minutes of playing time, and his eight league goals include the decisive strike in August's 1-0 home win over Newcastle.

Alvarez had six shots in January's 3-2 win at St James' Park, as well as five attempts in 64 minutes against Chelsea in February.

He has scored four goals in his last five home FA Cup ties, including a brace against Burnley in last term's quarter-final, and poses a major threat to Eddie Howe's visitors.

Bruno Guimaraes to be carded

Newcastle's injury problems mean fatigue could be a factor for the Magpies towards the end of the campaign and midfielder Bruno Guimaraes has had a heavier workload than most.

The Brazilian has started all but one of his side's 37 matches in the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup and he will have plenty of defensive work to do at the Etihad.

Guimaraes has been booked in all three of Newcastle's meetings with City this season, in the EFL Cup and twice in the league, and he may well continue that streak on Saturday.

As well as his nine yellow cards in the league, he was also cautioned twice in 192 minutes during Newcastle's EFL Cup run and received a booking in the FA Cup third-round win at local rivals Sunderland.
