Luton Town vs Norwich City Prediction: More home joy for the Hatters

Luton Town will be gunning for a third home win on the bounce when they entertain Norwich City at Kenilworth Road on Wednesday (15:00, Sky Sports+). The Hatters have lost three times on home soil this season and the latest came back in October against Sunderland.
Norwich head here with just two away wins all season but they have picked up four points from their last two home games. Below you will find my Luton Town vs Norwich City prediction, accompanied by the latest team news and match odds.
Luton Town vs Norwich City Odds
Luton are 8/5, which carries an implied probability of 38.5%, to win this fixture. They have won four of their last six home encounters in the league. Norwich are valued at 7/4 (36.4%) to take the three points, which they have managed just twice on the road this season.
The draw is on offer at 23/10 (30.3%), which has struck on three occasions at Kenilworth Road this term, including in two of the last six.
Both teams to score has been a winning selection in nine of Luton's 12 games here and it is priced at 4/6 for Wednesday. Over 2.5 goals has struck in the last two matches at this ground and this market is available at 5/6.
No Championship player has scored more goals than Norwich's Borja Sainz, who has 15 goals this term. He is the 21/10 favourite to score anytime on Wednesday.
Team News
Luton boss Rob Edwards is having to contend with a lot of absentees right now. Shandon Baptiste, Teden Mengi, Reece Burke, Tom Lockyer and Alfie Doughty will again miss the contest due to injury problems.
Amari'i Bell was able to recover from his own issue to feature in the back three against Swansea City last time out and should continue alongside Mark McGuinness and Tom Holmes again. Reuell Walters was fit enough to make the bench in that game and might have to settle for a similar role on Wednesday.
Liam Walsh is available again after his second red card of the campaign, but it is unlikely he will be considered for a start for some time due to his recklessness. The Hatters have Joe Johnson suspended for this clash after the young wing-back received two yellow cards in the defeat against the Swans.
This could mean recent signing, veteran Erik Pieters, could make his first appearance for the club, although Victor Moses is another option to play there. Moses could even be moved over to the right and Tahith Chong positioned on the left.
Carlton Morris and Elijah Adebayo should continue as the front men for the hosts, while Tom Krauss, Jordan Clark and Marvelous Nakamba could line up in midfield again.
For Norwich, they remain without the services of Josh Sargent, Gabriel Forsyth and Liam Gibbs due to injury and all are not expected back until later this month.
In Sargent's continued absence, Ante Crnac is likely to keep his role as the front man, and he's likely to be supported by the division's top scorer Borja Sainz and Oscar Schwartau, while Onel Hernandez will offer some fresh legs to boss Johannes Hoff Thorup.
Kenny McLean came into midfield for Emiliano Marcondes against Queens Park Rangers on Sunday so it will be interesting to see which of them takes the third midfield spot on this occasion. Marcelino Nunez, who scored against the Rs, and Anis Ben Slimane are expected to maintain their places in the engine room.
Luton to win @ 8/5
Luton's season hasn't exactly gone to plan so far. Many expected them to be in and around the top six pushing for an instant return to the Premier League but at the midway point of the campaign they find themselves 19th and 12 points off the pace.
The Hatters have had a torrid time away from home with just one win in 11. However, they have had better success at home, winning six from 12 and they will hope to improve their return here in the second half of the campaign.
I think they can have some more Kenny joy on Wednesday against Norwich as they have won their last two fixtures here and four from their last six. Something about the home factor gives Edwards' players another gear or two, and I feel we will see this occur against the Canaries.
Norwich are a funny side as they continually blow hot and cold. They have scored a lot of goals this season but haven't had the points return to match. They've also been pretty poor on the road, winning two out of 12. The Canaries have also lost six of their last seven trips in the Championship, which does not bode well for their next one.
The Hatters are in a rhythm at home at the moment and I struggle to see Norwich as the team to disrupt it. I'm going for Luton to win here, which could inspire a much stronger second half of the season.

Carlton Morris anytime goalscorer @ 13/5
Luton striker Morris has really stepped up in recent weeks when his team have needed him. He has three goals in his last five league appearances, two of which came at Kenilworth Road against Derby County and Stoke City.
The forward will be looking to make it three consecutive home games with a goal and he might just be in luck against a Norwich side who have not won away from home since September.
Morris wasn't on the scoresheet when these sides met at the end of November, in which the Canaries won 4-2 at Carrow Road, but he will look to make amends this time around. I think 13/5 offers good value for him to get on the scoresheet on Wednesday.
