Nantes vs Marseille Prediction: Aubameyang to take clueless Canaries to cleaners

Crisis clubs Nantes and Marseille are on the slide as they prepare to meet at the Stade de la Beaujoire on Saturday (2.00pm).

Nantes are one off the bottom and will be relegated with two weekends to go if they lose to OM and Auxerre beat Angers at home on Sunday, while Marseille somehow need to pick themselves up to stay in the fight for a European place. Team News

Brest trio Mame Balde (thigh), Kamory Doumbia (groin) and Bradleyv Locko (hamstring) are set to sit out Friday's contest.

Regis Gurtner, Samson Baidoo, (both muscle), Kyllian Antonio (foot), Jonathan Gradit (thigh) and Ruben Aguilar (calf) all look likely to miss out again for Lens due to injury.

It is hard to have a great deal of faith in Marseille right now, but even harder to have any at all in Nantes, who look doomed.

The Canaries have rolled the dice and brought in Vahid Halilhodzic to inspire mission impossible, but he has not won in six matches and oversees a team suffering from injuries, suspensions and a chronic lack of confidence.

OM, meanwhile, are falling apart at board-room level, mirrored on the pitch where Habib Beye's approach is winning few favours.

But they are less of a basket case than Nantes and do have the game's outstanding striker in 10-goal Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who does seem a certain starter.

The ex-Arsenal man is a constant threat and will get chances against a Nantes side who have won only one game since January 4.

Marseille Over 6.5 corners @ 13/8

OM have not won fewer than six corners in any of their last six matches and are currently on a corner count streak which reads 8-7-7-8.

Beye's team simply have to be positive after plunging to seventh in Ligue 1 and with European qualification suddenly on the line.

They managed six corners in the 2-0 home loss to Nantes earlier in the season despite being down to nine men after 56 minutes.
