Hoffenheim vs Dynamo Kyiv Prediction: Hosts to get a much-needed win

Hoffenheim welcome Dynamo Kyiv to the PreZero Arena on Thursday (17:45, TNT Sports 9), looking to build on the point they picked up against Midtjylland a fortnight ago.The German outfit have been struggling in the Bundesliga, however, with four defeats from their opening five matches in 2024/25.
Dynamo Kyiv were comfortably beaten 3-0 by Lazio last time out, but this could be a less difficult challenge for them given the hosts's league form. Read on for my Hoffenheim vs Dynamo Kyiv prediction, accompanied by match odds and team news.
Hoffenheim vs Dynamo Kyiv Betting Tips
Hoffenheim vs Dynamo Kyiv Odds
Hoffenheim are 19/20 to win this match, which gives them an implied probability of 51.3%. Dynamo Kyiv are 12/5 to take the three points, giving them a theoretical chance of 29.4%. The draw can be backed at 13/5 (27.8%).
Over 2.5 goals is on offer at 4/7 and both teams to score is available at 8/15.
Hoffenheim front man Andrej Kramaric is their leading scorer in the Bundesliga with four goals. He is 9/2 to open the scoring, or 7/5 to find the back of the net at any stage during Thursday's clash.
His teammate Marius Bulter has three in the league and he is priced at 2/1 to score anytime.
Team News
Hoffenheim have quite a few injury concerns ahead of Thursday's clash. The standout is their top scorer and star striker Andrej Kramaric, who missed out of his side's 4-3 defeat to Werder Bremen through illness, so he is considered a doubt for this clash.
Grischa Promel, Ihlas Bebou, David Jurasek, Finn Becker and Ozan Kabak are all all out of action for this match due to injury and are currently recovering in the treatment room.
Dynamo Kyiv also have a few injuries of their own for this match, with Nazar Voloshyn, Vladimir Shepelev, Matviy Ponomarenko, Mykola Mykhaylenkoa nd Brayan Ceballos all unavailable for selection on Thursday.
The Ukrainian outfit are also unable to call upon the services of Maksym Bragaru as he serves the one-game suspension for the red card he picked up in the loss to Lazio last time out.
Hoffenheim to win @ 19/20
It has been a tough start to the season for Die Krauchgauer with just two wins from seven matches in all competitions, and they will be hoping that they can find their rhythm sooner rather than later.
Thursday's home meeting with Dynamo Kyiv in the Europa League gives them a reprieve from their domestic misfortune, and a chance to instil some confidence into the team.
Although, they may have gained some on their last outing against Werder Bremen as they did produce three goals themselves. That being said, they were 3-0 up and then a red card for Stanley Nsoki allowed the visitors back into the contest.
They started the game well so they will need to channel that into this European performance. Hoffenheim will be hoping they can capitalise on the fact that their opponents were well beaten by Lazio last time out, and they will see this as a good opportunity to get back to winning ways and get their season up and running.
Dynamo Kyiv have started their domestic campaign well as they sit top of the table with six wins from seven. However, they were very disappointing in their showing at Lazio, and that could impact their start in Hoffenheim.
With the hosts struggling, they will be sensing an opportunity to get off the mark in the Europa League, but right now, I think a home victory is more probable. I am expecting another tough game for Hoffenheim, but they are in desperate need of a victory for morale, and I think that should help them come out on top on Thursday.

Marius Bulter anytime goalscorer @ 2/1
Veteran striker Bulter has been leading the line for Hoffenheim this season in the league and he has been hitting form in recent weeks, even if the results haven't been favourable for his side.
He has three goals in his last two appearances in the Bundesliga, scoring a brace against Werder Bremen last time out, so he will be feeling confident ahead of this crunch clash on home soil against Dynamo Kyiv.
Bulter was deployed on the left for his team in the draw with Midtjylland, so there is a chance that he could be returned to his preferred position on this occasion, especially when he is on a scoring streak.
The need for him to be higher up the pitch is greater if Kramaric remains unavailable due to illness. Bulter is one of the senior heads in the dressing room so he is taking on a lot of extra responsibility right now as Hoffenheim try to turn their fortunes around.
I think he will be a leader on Thursday and get on the scoresheet.
