Hibs vs Aberdeen Prediction: Dons set to teach Hibs a lesson

Hibernian will attempt to climb off the foot of the Scottish Premiership table when they face second-placed Aberdeen at Easter Road on Tuesday evening.
Read on for my Hibs vs Aberdeen prediction, as well as the latest team news and match odds.
Hibs' struggles continued last weekend with a 4-1 defeat at Dundee, a result which leaves them rooted to the bottom of the league with just eight points from 13 matches.
Meanwhile, the Dons will be looking to bounce back from Saturday’s disappointing 2-1 defeat to St.Mirren.
That setback for the Dons halted a 20-game unbeaten sequence under Jimmy Thelin and allowed Celtic to open a three-point gap to them at the top of the standings.
Team News
Hibs forward Kieron Bowie is sidelined with a hamstring injury that has dogged him since September, while defender Jordan Obita serves a suspension after being sent off in Hibs’ 4-1 defeat at Dens Park.
Jack Iredale is likely to replace Obita at left-back and other changes could be on the cards as boss David Gray battles to keep his job.
As for the Dons, Ante Palaversa could get the nod to replace Graeme Shinnie in midfield.
Sivert Heltne Nilsen was substituted in the second half against the Buddies after a clash of heads but the Norwegian midfielder said he felt fine later.
Attackers Duk and Kevin Nisbet, who breathed some life into Aberdeen’s performance after coming off the bench on Saturday, could force their way into the line-up, but striker Pape Habib Gueye remains out until the New Year with a muscle injury.

Aberdeen are slight favorites at 6/4 to get the win, giving the visitors an implied probability of 40% while Hibernian are priced at 13/8 to secure a much-needed home victory with a 38.1% chance to claim all three points.
The draw is available at 9/4, both teams to score at 4/6, and over 2.5 total goals at 5/6.
Aberdeen striker Nisbet (15/8) leads the anytime goalscorer market, with team-mate Ester Sokler just behind him in the betting at 2/1.
Aberdeen to win @ 6/4
This trip to Easter Road seems like a perfect opportunity for Aberdeen to get back to winning ways after their slip-up on Saturday.
They will face a Hibernian side that are low on confidence and heading for some major upheaval if results and performances don’t improve soon.
Hibs have made both the most errors leading to shots (9) and errors leading to goals (6) in the Scottish Premiership this season.
A schoolboy mistake by goalkeeper Josif Bursik was punished on Saturday as lowly Dundee, who had lost seven of their previous nine games, enjoyed their biggest Premiership win since January.
While it quickly became clear that Gray does not have enough quality in his squad, their character is now being questioned.
Hibs have dropped 14 points from winning positions, six more than any other Premiership side, and tend to concede quickly again once their defence has been breached.
Aberdeen won their first three away league games of the campaign and were unlucky not to beat Celtic in a terrific 2-2 draw after that, so they should be able to handle rock-bottom Hibs.

Kevin Nisbet to score anytime @ 15/8
Thelin’s double change at half-time against St. Mirren sparked his side into life and he could be tempted to hand impact substitutes Duk and Nisbet starts on Tuesday.
Nisbet will be going up against one of his former clubs and he was a reliable goalscorer when fit during his three seasons at Easter Road.
The Scotland international striker has scored three in his last seven Premiership appearances and will be desperate to impress back on his old stamping ground.
