Arsenal head to Fulham for a London derby on New Year’s Eve that could see the Gunners end 2023 at the top of the Premier League table.

The Gunners should get the job done, just as they have when winning on their last five trips to Craven Cottage, and a goal for one of their stars along with bookings for two of the Cottagers’ card magnets, who could grow frustrated as Mikel Arteta’s side dominate proceedings, make up our 33/1 #PickYourPunt selection.

Fulham vs Arsenal Bet Builder Tips:

  • Martin Odegaard to score
  • Joao Palhinha to be carded
  • Antonee Robinson to be carded

#PickYourPunt @ 33/1

Martin Odegaard to score

Martin Odegaard has perhaps not yet hit the heights of previous seasons so far but has at least started to show signs he has been getting there of late. The Norwegian ace has taken nine shots and provided 13 chances in his last three games, against an in-form trio of clubs in the form of Brighton, Liverpool and West Ham.

The fact that he is now coming up against an out-of-form Fulham side sliding down the table suggests that he should be able to get even more opportunities to work his magic, and has proven his liking in facing the Cottages in the not-so-distant past.

The Norwegian star scored in both fixtures against Fulham last season, which includes a 3-0 win for the Gunners at Craven Cottage, and Odegaard could play the key role in helping Arsenal finish the year at the Premier League summit.

Joao Palhinha to be carded

Joao Palhinha has proven in no uncertain terms that he likes to mix it in the middle of the park, and has already been given eight yellow cards to lead that particular category in the Premier League - just like he did last season..

With Arsenal expected to dominate proceedings on Sunday, despite the match being played at Craven Cottage, Palhinha is likely to be right there in the thick of the action, and it would be no surprise to see him fall foul of the referee at least once in the contest.

The combative midfielder, who has been courting the interest of a number of Europe’s biggest clubs with the January transfer window about to open, has been cautioned in three of his last four appearances and with referee Peter Bankes not averse to a yellow card - averaging 4.9 per game so far this season - Palhinha could find himself with another card this Christmas.

Antonee Robinson to be carded

Bukayo Saka will likely see a lot of the ball against Fulham and the Arsenal right-winger has been fouled 17 times in his last six appearances, as his pace and skill makes it difficult for left-backs to contain the England star.

Antonee Robinson is likely to be the man tasked with keeping Saka quiet and he could find himself in the referee’s book as a result, especially with Bankes prone to dishing out cautions.

The American full-back has already been booked four times this term, including against Aston Villa when dealing predominantly with Moussa Diaby - a player with a similar profile to Saka - and he could be in for a tough time against Arsenal’s star attacker.
