Football Bet of the Day: Can Conor go five for five with Spanish shoot-out?

There are three La Liga matches heading our way on Thursday and one of them impacts both ends of the table. Real Oviedo are fighting for survival, while Villarreal are hoping to secure Uefa Champions League football for next season. They meet at the Carlos Tartiere Stadium (20:30 BST, Premier Sports 1).
I have picked out my Football Bet of the Day from this clash, having seen my previous four selections land. Here's hoping for another winner.

Real Oviedo vs Villarreal Odds
Real Oviedo are seeking a third straight victory in La Liga, and they are 5/2 to come out on top here. The draw is available at the same price.
Five of Villarreal's previous seven away trips in the league have seen both teams find the net. BTTS - Yes on Thursday is marketed at 4/5.
The Yellow Submarine are 21/20 to take the three points and beat Oviedo for the second time this season in the top flight. I am backing this for my Bet of the Day primarily because of the difference in league position between the two teams.
Villarreal are third in the standings, while Oviedo are rock bottom. It won't be easy for the visitors because they are away from home and up against a team fighting for their lives, who have shown improvement of late by winning three of their past four outings in La Liga.
This includes consecutive victories over Sevilla and Celta Vigo heading into Thursday.
Los Azules are five points adrift of safety with seven games left to play, so a great escape is possible.
Football Bet of the Day Stats
- Villarreal are unbeaten in 6 competitive meetings with Oviedo, winning each of the past 3
- Oviedo have lost all 5 matches so far against teams in the top 4 this season
- The Yellow Submarine have 3 wins from 5 in the top flight
Villarreal have a 12-point cushion inside the top four, so they can afford to take it easy here, but I'm not expecting that from them. They will look to finish the campaign strongly, and while their form has been mixed of late, they still have three wins from their five most recent fixtures in the league.
There is no doubt they have better quality in their ranks and I think this will be showcased in Thursday's tussle. Villarreal were 2-0 winners when the sides met at La Ceramica on the opening day of term in August.
Villarreal have won each of the past three competitive head-to-heads, while Oviedo are still yet to beat them in six attempts.
It seems unlikely that is going to change when the visitors have the likes of Gerard Moreno, Georges Mikautadze and Alberto Moleiro (26 league goals between them) to call upon for this battle. This should help the Yellow Submarine to another three points and take them a step closer to their destination, the Champions League.
They are looking to qualify in back-to-back seasons for the first time in their history.
