Football Bet of the Day: More double delight for Thuram against Torino

Inter Milan are closing in on the Serie A title and Christian Chivu's side head to Torino on Sunday (17:00 BST). The Nerazzuri are on the hunt for a fourth consecutive victory in the top flight but they are facing a Torino side who have won three of their past five outings in the league.
My Football Bet of the Day comes from this clash as I look to get back on track after my recent winning streak ended on Thursday.
Football Bet of the Day - Sunday, April 26
- Player To Score Two Or More Goals - Marcus Thuram @ 9/2
*Odds correct as of the time of publication
Torino are 7/1 to defeat the league leaders. This seems a generous price considering they have won their last three home games in Serie A.
The hosts played out a draw last time out at struggling Cremonese and the stalemate here is available at 4/1.
Inter are the heavy favourites at 4/11 as they seek a fourth straight win in the top flight.
The Nerazzuri won the reverse fixture 5-0 on the opening day of the season, so Over 3.5 Goals may be a smart play at 6/4.
But for my Bet of the Day I am looking at the goalscorer market and of course I am favouring a player on the visiting side. Inter's players are on the cusp of winning the league and their current win streak highlights their determination to get over the line in style.
Chivu's team may have lost captain Lautaro Martinez to injury but his strike partner, Marcus Thuram, has really stepped up in recent weeks. The French attacker has four goals across his past three appearances in Serie A - his best scoring run of the campaign.
Football Bet of the Day Stats
- Marcus Thuram is the joint-third top scorer in Serie A with 11 goals
- Thuram has 4 goals in his last 3 league appearances
- The Frenchman has bagged 2 braces in Serie A this season, including against Torino
His league total currently stands at 11 and now he is just three goals shy of his best return in Serie A. With four games left to play and Thuram's current form, he's in an excellent position to surpass last season's haul of 14.
I think there's good value in backing Thuram to score twice on Sunday at 9/2 (implied probability of 18.2%) because he has already bagged two braces in the league this term. The latest came in his side's most recent away trip against Como, with Inter winning a seven-goal thriller.
His first came all the way on the opening day of the season, which interestingly enough was against Sunday's opponents Torino. The Nerazzurri were 5-0 winners that day and they could be in for another comfortable victory against the Granata given Thuram's recent exploits.
