Football Bet of the Day: Cadiz’s misery to continue on Monday night

There are a variety of football matches in action on Monday, giving me plenty of options for me to pick out my Football Bet of the Day. I have picked out the clash taking place in Spain's Segunda Division, which sees Cadiz host Las Palmas (19:30 BST).
The hosts have been having a torrid time of late in the second tier, and my selection predicts that their pain will continue.
Football Bet of the Day - Monday, April 27
- Match Result - Las Palmas @ 21/20
*Odds correct as of the time of publication
Cadiz are a 12/5 bet to end a six-game winless streak in the league. The draw is marketed at 11/5.
The hosts have failed to score in four of their previous six outings in the second tier and Las Palmas are 7/5 to record a clean sheet.
The Canaries are 21/20 to come away with the three points, and this is my chosen selection for my latest Bet of the Day. Las Palmas are in good form heading into this clash, having three wins from their past four fixtures in the league.
They should be feeling confident of their chances of picking up three points against Cadiz because the Limoneros have suffered six consecutive defeats in this competition, so they are on a side very low on confidence.
Additionally, the home team have won just one of their last 13 matches in the Segunda Division, so their players are going to be extremely vulnerable on Monday night.
Las Palmas have momentum that the hosts simply don't have and even though they are the away side, they are rightly the favourites but they are still a good price to come away with the victory.
Football Bet of the Day Stats
- Las Palmas have won 3 of their last 4 league games, as well as the reverse fixture
- Cadiz have lost 6 matches in a row and have just 1 win from their past 13 outings in the second tier
- Las Palmas have the best defensive record in the division (30 goals conceded)
- Cadiz have failed to score in 4 of their previous 6 fixtures
Luis Garcia's side have a respectable 47 goals from 36 games in the league. It's not the best total in the division but it's nowhere near the worst. It's done enough to have them on the periphery of the play-offs as they sit just one point behind Eibar in sixth.
A strong end to the campaign could also see them challenge for automatic promotion as they find themselves just nine points behind league leaders Racing - and it could be six after Monday.
But for that to happen, they need to start by taking all three points against the side ranked bottom in the form table.
Cadiz are there for the taking and Los Amarillos' recent form suggests they will be able to make this contest count. Las Palmas do also boast the best defensive record in the division, with just 30 goals conceded.
Their back line should be more than capable of handling whatever Cadiz can throw at them, although I'm not expecting a lot from the hosts given how their results and performances have been in recent months.
