Football Bet of the Day: Goals galore in Sweden?

There's plenty of football to enjoy on Saturday but my Football Bet of the Day comes from a pre-season friendly between two English rivals in Manchester United and Leeds United (14:00) at the Strawberry Arena in Sweden.
This match gives both clubs an early chance to test themselves after very different 2024/25 campaigns - Leeds won promotion back into the top flight while United suffered their worst Premier League season in their history.
Football Bet of the Day - Saturday, July 19
- Over 3.5 total goals @ 6/5

Manchester United vs Leeds United Odds
United will be looking to move past what was their most disappointing season in decades as they finished in 15th place with 42 points, and just 11 wins in the league.
Ruben Amorim will be eager to see progress quickly, but their transfer window (at the time of writing) has been particularly underwhelming with only Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon arriving through the door, although speculation persists around the potential signing of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.
Leeds, in contrast, stormed to the Championship title, topping the table with 100 points, and as a result secured promotion back to the Premier League. They're a side full of creativity and control. which should make them a good test for United as the build up to the new season begins.
Both teams have much to prove for the upcoming campaign, and I think this match-up is likely to showcase plenty of attacking intent as players fight to impress their managers and keep their places in the squad.
Football Bet of the Day Stats
- Five of the last eight matches between Manchester United and Leeds United has seen over 2.5 goals land
- Leeds scored 95 goals in the Championship last season
So for that reason, I've opted to play the total goals market for my Football Bet of the Day.
Match results are hard to predict at the best of times but I find pre-season friendlies even trickier to guess with younger and fringe players usually given plenty of minutes, and managers may experiment with various formations and tactics.
Two of United's last four friendlies have landed over the 3.5 goal mark, and with Leeds scoring 95 goals in the Championship last season, I'm expecting plenty of goals on Saturday.
With United eager to improve their attacking sharpness and Leeds carrying momentum from their promotion season, this looks like a good opportunity for another high‑scoring pre‑season affair.
