We came mightily close to a 7.63/1 winner in Monday's Football Accumulator Tips, with three of the four legs landing; unfortunately, though, ND Primorje couldn't score the one goal we needed for a full house.

Thursday's Football Accumulator Tips produce a similar return, with this four-fold, which you can check out below, paying out at 7.25/1.

Both Teams to Score - Yes in Perth Glory vs AC Milan (11:00 BST) @ 4/5

Pre-season friendlies can be tricky to predict, given that they miss the competitive edge of a normal match and often involve several young players and new faces.

However, a market that can be fairly reliable is 'both teams to score'.

As it's pre-season, managers often try new tactics, sometimes adjusting the starting positions of their back line, and that can lead to a lot of space behind the defence. Furthermore, players can afford to take more risks, knowing that there are fewer consequences for their actions.

Football Odds

Italian giants AC Milan are huge favourites (1/9) to win on Thursday when they take on Perth Glory at HBF Park, and for good reason - their squad is much superior to the Australian A-League Men's side, who finished bottom of their 13-team league last season, picking up just 17 points from 26 games and conceding the most goals (56).

I Rossoneri are, therefore, expected to plunder a few, at least, against the Glory in Perth, having stuck four past Liverpool last Saturday in a 4-2 victory over the reigning Premier League champions.

However, can they keep a first clean sheet of pre-season, having lost 1-0 to Arsenal in their first game last Wednesday? I'm not so sure.

The Glory will be pumped up for this match, despite it being a friendly, with many of their players keen to impress in front of their own supporters and a worldwide audience. David Zdrilic's charges have been in competitive action recently, too, drawing 1-1 with Wellington Phoenix, but losing on penalties, in the Australia Cup round of 32 last Sunday.

The 2023/24 ALM Golden Boot winner, Adam Taggart, who scored 10 times in 25 league appearances last season, was only introduced in the 76th minute against the Nix, but found an equaliser for his side in the 89th to take the tie to extra time. Should he be afforded any opportunities on Thursday, I'd back him to take at least one, so BTTS-Yes at just under EVS looks appealing here.

Both Teams to Score - Yes in Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur (12:30 BST, Arsenal.com/SPURSPLAY) @ 1/2

On to another friendly, but one that is likely to be a bit spicier.

North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur face off at Kai Tak Sports Park in Hong Kong, with both teams looking to keep up their unbeaten start to pre-season.

After ousting Milan in Kallang, Singapore on July 23, Arsenal edged out Newcastle United 3-2 in the same location four days later.

Spurs, meanwhile, beat Reading 2-0 on July 19 before playing two matches on the same day a week later, drawing 2-2 with Wycombe Wanderers and 0-0 with Luton Town. Thomas Frank, clearly, is still getting to grips with the squad after joining from Brentford earlier in the summer.

Today's Football Fixtures

This may be a friendly, but it's still a north London derby, and you'd think there will still be a will to win on both sides, so I can see goals in this game on Thursday.

There's plenty of firepower in both ranks, with Arsenal recently adding Swedish hotshot Viktor Gyokeres and England international Noni Madueke to a forward line already containing the talents of Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli. Should Liverpool be quaking in their boots at that attack? No, but it's still a very solid crop of forwards that should give Spurs plenty of trouble in Hong Kong. Gyokeres, certainly, will be desperate to get off the mark for his new club, even in a non-competitive contest.

Spurs have added their own game-changer in Mohammed Kudus, who has made the switch from another London rival, West Ham United. The Ghanaian star joins Dominic Solanke, Mathys Tel, Wilson Odobert, Richarlison and Son Heung-Min as an attacking option for Frank, who will be looking to lay down a marker ahead of the new campaign.

Both teams to score has landed in three of the last four head-to-heads, and I fancy it to do so for a fourth time in five on Thursday.

Match Result - FC Midtjylland (A) to beat Hibernian (19:45 BST) @ 4/5

Much more than pride is on the line at Easter Road in Edinburgh, where Hibernian host FC Midtjylland in the second leg of their Uefa Europa League second round qualifying tie.

Hibs would have been happy to head back to Scotland on level terms before the first leg, but there may have been slight disappointment after the 1-1 draw at the MCH Arena in Herning, given that they were leading for 65 minutes, only for Aral Simsir to equalise in the 72nd.

Still, it was a positive result for David Gray's side, who were expected to fall to defeat in Denmark.

However, I'm expecting Midtjylland to rise to the occasion on Thursday.

Hedens Drenge had to battle back from 3-2 down in their first league game of the season on July 20, eventually drawing 3-3 with Odense, four days prior to their stalemate with Hibs.

But on Monday, Thomas Thomasberg's charges secured their first victory of the season in emphatic fashion, thrashing Sonderjyske 6-2. For the third game running, they had to recover from a goal down, but once again showcased their never-say-die attitude, and I think their class will shine through in the Scottish capital this week.

Franculino bagged a brace in his side's first Superliga match against Odense, and followed those two goals up with a hat-trick on Monday, so Hibs will have to be particularly mindful of the Guinea-Bissau international, who could prove to be the difference in this second leg.

Both Teams to Score - Yes in Sporting CP vs Benfica (20:45 BST) @ 4/6

This acca concludes at the Estadio Algarve in Faro/Loule, where Lisbon rivals Sporting CP and Benfica clash in the Supertaca Candido de Oliveira; in other words, the Portuguese Super Cup.

Sporting did the domestic double last season, pipping Benfica to the Liga Portugal title before beating As Aguias 3-1 (aet) in the Taca de Portugal final.

Both clubs have since lost a key player in attack, with back-to-back Golden Boot winner Gyokeres joining Arsenal, and Argentine winger Angel Di Maria moving back to his homeland with Rosario.

However, while both forward lines have been diluted, there is still enough firepower in each side's ranks to back both to score on Thursday.

Sporting recently signed Colombian striker Luis Suarez, who struck 27 goals in 41 La Liga 2 appearances for Almeria in 2024/25, while Danish 20-year-old Conrad Harder, who scored 11 times last season, despite playing second fiddle to Gyokeres, will be looking to make a bigger impression this term.

Benfica, meanwhile, can still call upon top scorer Vangelis Pavlidis, who bagged 30 goals in his maiden campaign with the club.

Both teams have scored in nine of the last 10 head-to-heads, including all three this calendar year, and I see that trend continuing this week.
