World Cup Betting Tips: Jamie’s 4.13/1 Accumulator Treble

After two seasons of good profit, our 3-3-3 columnist Jamie Pacheco is back with a World Cup special edition of his 3-3-3 column, where he picks out a daily treble. It has been tough sledding since an opening day win but we are on a Thursday again and that might just be his lucky day.
He has three selections for Thursday's matches starting with over 1.5 Goals in the 5PM match. Check out his other two selections and why below as he takes us through his World Cup Betting Tips...
Thursday World Cup Betting Tips
- Czech Republic v South Africa - Back Over 1.5 Goals @ 4/11
- Switzerland v Bosnia - Back Over 3.5 cards @ Evens
- Canada v Qatar - Back Over 9.5 corners @ 5/6
- Treble Odds @ 4.13/1

For the past two years, I’ve been running the 3-3-3 column.
Here were the rules regarding how it worked.
3 - The number of different selections making up the acca.
3 - The number of different (non-English) European Leagues the selections are taken from every week.
3 - The minimum odds (3/1) or 4.0 if you prefer, that the acca will come to it every week.
And these were the column’s results over the past two years, so pretty impressive stuff.
2025-26 season Current P and L: +16.5pts
2024-25 season’s P and L: +16.9pts
World Cup P and L: -1.3
There will be a special edition of the 3-3-3 column during the Group Stages of the World Cup and possibly beyond. Of course, there won’t be matches picked from three different leagues this time round as they’re all from the same competition, but there will be picks from three different matches, and they’ll always come to at least 3/1 across the acca. So we’re keeping things as close as possible to the classic 3-3-3 format.
RECAP: By the time you’re reading this, you’ll probably know the outcome of Wednesday’s acca, but at the time of writing, I don’t, other than to say that Austria won to make sure we’ve at least got to the second match this time.
Earlier, there was a frustrating Tuesday with France getting the two goals we needed and us also getting two goals in the Norway v Iraq game, but the damage had already been done with Uruguay’s failure to win the previous evening.
But rather than worrying too much about the other two Wednesday selections, which we now have no control over, let’s look ahead to Thursday.
- Czech Republic v South Africa
- Thursday, 18 June, 17.00
- Back Over 1.5 Goals 4/11
This probably isn’t going to be one of the more eagerly-awaited matches at this tournament, nor is it filled with great betting opportunities.
Which helps explain why it’s the shortest-priced selection of the three, albeit one I’m quite confident about.
BTTS would have been a winner in each of the Czech Republic’s last five games (including back-to-back 2-2s) so those obviously produced at least two goals in the match, as did the 6-0 and 1-2 before that, the only time in the last in the last eight we didn’t get two goals in a Czechia game being when they beat San Marino just 1-0 in November.
As for SA, their matches aren’t as high-scoring as the Czech’s, but they still tend to produce at least two goals. It’s six out of the last seven, while both teams had over 1.5 goals in their first game here at the WC.
2-0 to the Czech Republic would be my idea of a score here, although SA could be a good for a goal, having scored in 8 of their last 11. So different ways on offer to get to those two goals.
- Switzerland v Bosnia
- Thursday, 18 June, 20.00
- Back Over 3.5 cards @ 4/6
Bosnia did their bit for us in the opening (winning) column by being involved in a game with at least four yellows in it (there were five), and I think it’s worth going to the well with that same bet again.
A reminder that no European team got as many yellows in qualifying as Bosnia, who were good for three the other day. That’s now seven out of eight (non-friendly) matches where a Bosnia game has had over 3.5 cards in it.
Portuguese ref Joao Pinheiro is in charge here, a man we know well from our Superliga previews. He averaged 4.6 yellows last season and also showed seven reds.
Switzerland admittedly isn’t a dirty team, but this is a high-stakes match between two well-matched teams, so we’d expect them to get at least one and then hope Bosnia do the rest.
- Canada v Qatar
- Thursday, 18 June, 23:00
- Back Over 9.5 Corners @ 5/6
Canada have been accumulating corners for fun of late. Here’s their corner count for their last 6 games: 9, 12, 7, 9, 8 and 12. Five of those games had over 9.5 corners in them.
Qatar aren’t quite as reliable for high-corner games, but still conceded 10 against Switzerland in a match that had 13 in total, while they’ve been roughly 50/50 for over-9.5-corners matches over the past year or so.
We’re going to need Canada to do most of the heavy lifting here, but if Qatar can contribute three or more here, we should get over the line.
James’s Fun Fact
Qatar have scored either 0 or exactly 1 goal in 9 of their past 10 games.
