Portugal World Cup Top Scorer Odds: Can Ronaldo conjure up one more prolific campaign?

Portugal have a lot of attacking talent heading to the FIFA World Cup in North America. This looks to be Cristiano Ronaldo's last chance to become a world champion and equal the international career of his long-time rival Lionel Messi.
The pair are about to partake in their sixth consecutive World Cup finals and Ronaldo is just one goal shy of equalling Eusebio's total of nine goals on this stage. Below I take a look at the Portugal World Cup Top Scorer Odds.
Portugal World Cup Top Scorer Odds
Cristiano Ronaldo @ 5/4
Ronaldo is the greatest Portuguese player of all-time, and to some he's the greatest footballer to have walked the Earth. The 41-year-old veteran has always shown dedication to keeping himself in the best physical shape to prolong his playing career at the highest level.
The attacker has eight goals across his five appearances in the World Cup finals so far, which is why he is deemed the favourite to be their top scorer in 2026. However, he has only been prolific on this stage once, back in 2018 when he bagged four goals. All the other times have seen him leave with just one goal to his name.
With this looking to be his last chance to win this tournament, there is sure to be an additional fire in his belly. Whether it's enough for him to rack up a few goals, though, remains to be seen.
Bruno Fernandes @ 10/3
Having just claimed the record for most assists in a single Premier League season (21), there is sure to be a spring in Bruno Fernandes' step at the World Cup. The attacking midfielder will look to build on his two goals in Qatar four years ago, and we all know of what he is capable of in front of goal.
Fernandes is assured of a regular place in the Selecao das Quinas side, so goalscoring opportunities are bound to fall his way. He bagged nine goals in the league for Manchester United last season but ultimately the best part of his game is creating chances for others.
Goncalo Ramos @ 8/1
While Goncalo Ramos is considering his future at Paris Saint-Germain because of a lack of game time, the World Cup offers the striker to drum up interest in his services from around Europe.
I'd take a close look at his 8/1 price here because he was Portugal's top scorer in Qatar with three goals. He has a total of 10 goals in 24 appearances for his country.
Considering he mostly starts on the bench, his returns are that much more impressive. It makes you wonder what he'd be capable of if he was given just a bit more game time.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
Joao Felix @ 12/1
I must admit I was surprised to see Joao Felix feature as high as this on the list. Despite his club transfers to date costing over £200m, the attacker has failed to live up to the hype in Europe.
He has, however, seemed to find his feet out in the Saudi Pro League, scoring 20 goals across 33 appearances last season. Joao Felix is 26 now and we're still waiting to see if his potential will be realised.
He scored just once at the last World Cup but he did net three goals during qualifying for the 2026 edition.
Rafael Leao @ 12/1
Winger Rafael Leao will look to add some spice to Portugal's left flank in North America, and he too is someone who will be hoping to benefit from a productive World Cup campaign.
Leao is reportedly seeking a fresh challenge away from AC Milan, so he'll be wanting to impress potential suitors over the coming weeks. He found the net twice at the last tournament in Qatar and he will be hoping to improve on that this summer.
He missed much of the qualifying campaign through injury but he did score 10 goals across all competitions for Milan in 2025/26.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
