Kazakhstan vs Liechtenstein Prediction: Hosts can cruise to victory

This is a dead-rubber in Group J of European World Cup qualifying with Liechtenstein already eliminated following five defeats from five and hosts Kazakhstan not faring much better, having taken only three points across the same period.
Kazakhstan’s sole success in qualifying came with a 2-0 win at Liechtenstein in March and they will be expecting to repeat the feat in Friday’s clash at the Astana Arena.

Team News
Kazakhstan will be relying on striker Maksim Samorodov to provide their attacking influence and he will be ably supported by Maksim Samorodov and Galymzhan Kenzhebek.
Kazakhstan’s caretaker head coach Talgat Baysufinov looks set to deploy a back three of Alibek Kasym, Sergiy Malyi and Nuraly Alip.
Liechtenstein have nothing but pride to play for but they will be desperate to avoid another heavy defeat, which could result in defensive tactics from manager Konrad Funfstuck with Maximilian Goppel, Luca Beck and Jens Hofer in a back-three system.
Fabio Notaro and Ferhat Saglam will be the two attackers that Liechtenstein will be depending on to cause the Kazakhstani’s problems
Kazakhstan vs Liechtenstein Odds
Kazakhstan are 1/8 to make the most of home advantage and pile the misery on Liechtenstein, who are 25/1 to spring a surprise by avenging March’s defeat. The draw is a 7/1 chance.
Both teams have scored in only one of Liechtenstein’s last 10 matches and it is 21/10 for the net to bulge at each end, while under 2.5 goals is as short as 1/6, which highlights the potential lack of firepower on show.
Kazakhstan -2 goals on handicap @ 11/10
Kazakhstan were comfortable 2-0 winners away in Liechtenstein in March and they will feel it should have been an even more emphatic scoreline given that both goals came in the opening half and they dominated the shot count 16-3.
On home soil at the Astana Arena, Kazakhstan may be able to record a more convincing victory and an early goal could soon see Liechtenstein collapse.
Confidence is already severely lacking for the visitors, who have scored only one goal in nine with five of their last six defeats being by a three-goal margin or more.

Maksim Samorodov anytime goalscorer @ 5/6
Maksim Samorodov produced a man-of-the-match performance in that 2-0 victory over Liechtenstein in March, opening the scoring after 42 minutes before assisting veteran defender Aleksandr Marochkin for the second just three minutes later.
Samorodov has five goals in 29 caps, which isn’t a bad return for a winger in a side not renowned for their attacking nous, and he won’t get many better opportunities to bolster his tally than against a limited Liechtenstein outfit.
The visitors have shipped 18 goals in their last four internationals and Samorodov looks the prime candidate to add to their woes.
