Argentina have already secured top spot, with six points from two games and a goal difference and this fixture represents a chance for Lionel Scaloni's side to finish the group stage with a 100% record. Team News
Jordan have no major injury concerns, so Jamal Sellami is expected to name a full-strength lineup with nothing to lose.
Rennes'Â Mousa Tamari will lead the line and will be supported in attack by Ali Olwan, who scored in Jordan's opener against Austria, and Mahmoud Al Mardi.
Abdallah Nasib, Yazan Al Arab and Husam Abu Dahab make up the back-three with Yazeed Abulaila retaining his place between the sticks.
As for Argentina, Scaloni is in a position where he can afford to rotate his side, but may opt to name as close to his best XI as possible to keep building momentum heading into the knockouts.
Lionel Messi is likely to start along side Lautaro Martinez in attack, although Julian Alvarez could be handed a starting role in favour of the Inter Milan striker.
Jordan vs Argentina Predicted Lineups
- Jordan: Abulaila; Nasib, Al-Arab, Dahab; Haddad, Al Rashdan, Al-Rawabdeh, Taha; Olwan, Al Mardi; Tamari
- Argentina: E. Martinez; Molina, Romero, Li. Martinez, Medina; De Paul, Mac Allister, Fernandez, Almada, La. Martinez, Messi
Jordan are 14/1 to shock the world with a win here, the draw is 6/1 and, as expected, Argentina are massive favourites at 2/11, giving them an implied win probability of 84.6%.
Lionel Messi currently tops the anytime goalscorer market at 1/2, and it's 4/6 for Argentina to win to nil.
Jordan vs Argentina Stats
- Messi has 18 World Cup goals, two clear of Miroslav Klose's previous all-time record of 16
- Messi has scored all five of Argentina's goals at this World Cup
- Jordan managed to score in both of their World Cup matches - the first debutants to do so since Ivory Coast in 2006
Over 3.5 Argentina goals @ 9/4
Argentina's tournament has been a breeze so far, beating Algeria 3-0 in their opening game before dispatching Austria 2-0 last time out.
It's hard to see Jordan laying a glove on Scaloni's side here, and the World Cup debutants have shipped five goals in their opening two matches, and let in four goals in a pre-tournament friendly against Switzerland.
With the attacking quality, and depth, that Argentina have, I can see them having plenty of joy in front of goal on Sunday, and unfortunately for Jordan, it's going to be a long 90 minutes.

Lionel Messi to score 2+ goals @ 21/10
Who else was I going to back?
Messi has scored all five of his nation's goals at this World Cup so far, breaking the all-time leading World Cup goalscorer record in the process.
His price to score anytime is too short for me, and given that he's scored multiple goals in both games for Argentina so far, it makes sense for him to repeat that feat for a third time here.
There's every possibility that we get a shortened cameo from the ex-Barcelona magician, or he may even be rested entirely for his match in preparation for the knockout stages, but if the 39-year-old features, I'm backing him to keep banging the goals in.

Jordan vs Argentina Result Prediction
- Jordan 0-4 Argentina
As my two picks suggest, I only see this game playing out one way - a very comfortable win for Argentina, with Messi front and centre as he so often is.
Jordan simply don't have the quality to keep out a potent Argentina attack, and they'd need to secure a remarkable upset here to have any chance of qualifying for the last 32.
