France won the FIFA World Cup in 2018 and made it to the final in 2022, so it's fair to assume they have big plans for the 2026 edition. Les Bleus are stacked with attacking quality and I don't think any other team comes close to boasting as many Golden Boot contenders as Didier Deschamps' side.

Below I take a look at the France World Cup Top Scorer Odds.

France World Cup Top Scorer Odds

  • Kylian Mbappe @ 4/6
  • Ousmane Dembele @ 5/1
  • Michael Olise @ 7/1
  • Desire Doue @ 9/1
  • Marcus Thuram @ 12/1
  • 14/1 bar the field

Kylian Mbappe @ 4/6

Short-priced at 4/6, Betfred are confident that France's top scorer will be Kylian Mbappe again. He shared the title with Antoine Griezmann in 2018 with four goals, before taking it for himself four years ago with eight, earning him the Golden Boot award. This included a hat-trick in the final against Argentina.

Mbappe has just enjoyed a 42-goal season with Real Madrid, so he's primed to have another crack at the Golden Boot this summer. It seems achievable for a man of his talent, so at the very least it's expected that he will score the most goals in France's colours.

World Cup Odds

Ousmane Dembele @ 5/1

Ousmane Dembele didn't quite score as many goals in 2025/26 for Paris Saint-Germain (20) as he did the season before (35), but due to injuries his return was still most impressive.

The past two years have made him a bigger threat in the final third, so he will be hoping to improve on his seven goals for Les Bleus to date at the World Cup. The 2025 Ballon d'Or winner is going to be a nightmare for defenders to handle because he's not only quick and skilful, but he's also confident with either boot.

His versatility allows him to play anywhere across the forward line, so if Deschamps decides to utilise Dembele in this way, the attacker could have plenty of goalscoring opportunities heading his way in North America.

Michael Olise @ 7/1

While reports suggest Real Madrid are going to test Bayern Munich's resolve for Michael Olise this summer, the Frenchman is currently focused on helping Les Bleus at the World Cup.

The former Crystal Palace man has just had an excellent season with the German giants, scooping up the Bundesliga Player of the Season award. Across all competitions, Olise finished the term with 22 goals and 31 assists.

In this form, the 24-year-old is going to be a huge asset for his country at the World Cup, and I do believe that he will rack up a few goals over the course of the tournament.

Given that all these players are teammates of Mbappe, it would be bold of me to say they can really challenge the main man for goals scored. But at 7/1, Olise could offer punters good value based on his exploits over the last 12 months.

Desire Doue @ 9/1

France are blessed with plenty of attacking quality from PSG and Desire Doue is another who is representing Les Bleus in North America. The 21-year-old just bagged 13 goals and 11 assists for Les Parisiens in 2025/26.

He's one of the more inexperienced heads in Deschamps' squad but he has two goals in six outings for France to date. His 9/1 price reflects his chances but this youngster is one of the brightest young talents in the world and he was made to feature on this stage.

Marcus Thuram @ 12/1

Marcus Thuram is another versatile attacker in France's ranks. He can play out on the left or up front, so he's sure to be in the thick of the action when out on the pitch.

The Inter Milan striker has just enjoyed another productive campaign in Italy for goals, netting double figures for the third consecutive year. He has experience of scoring in the UEFA Champions League, too, which could be a real benefit to Les Bleus if they are ever in need of turning a game around.
