Curacao vs Ivory Coast Bet Builder Tips: 26/1 pick backs CIV dominance

Ivory Coast have been good value so far at this World Cup and would have got a well-earned draw against Germany had Deniz Undav not fired home a late winner. Still, they are in a good position to qualify in second, with Curacao their final group game opponents.

Ivory Coast to win 

I know Curacao got a superb point against Ecuador as they earned a fantastic 0-0 draw, but I think Ivory Coast have another level of attacking quality. The Blue Wave conceded a massive 15 shots on target, 27 in total, against the misfiring Ecuadorians but I don’t think Ivory Coast will have any such trouble.

I think the Elephants were strong against Germany and could have won this group, had Undav not scored late. This should be relatively straightforward with Emerse Fae focused on securing second spot. 

Ange-Yoan Bonny to score (Sub Switch)

Ange-Yoan Bonny was handed a start against Germany and having come off the bench in the opener, I think it's only a matter before he finds the net. He only declared for Ivory Coast prior to the tournament, so two of his three international caps have come at the World Cup.

The 22-year-old Inter Milan striker scored five Serie A goals this season but is set to be the focal point for this Ivory Coast team. Given how many chances Curacao give up in their 5-4-1 system, Bonny should certainly get a couple of efforts on target and I’ll back one of those to find the net. 

Yan Diomande to score and assist

More goals expected in this one for Ivory Coast. I think that this will be a case of how many they want to score, and their star man so far during this tournament has been Yan Diomande, who is being hotly-tipped to move to Liverpool this summer. 

The RB Leipzig man is just 19, but looks like one of the most exciting wingers anywhere in the world, and registered an incredible 12 goals and nine assists in 33 Bundesliga appearances. I think he is the best bet to register a goal and assist against a Curacao side that should be penned in once again.

Leandro Bacuna to get booked (Sub Switch)

The Curacao captain was in the thick of the action against Ecuador, having one shot on target, one off target and four clearances. He also made two fouls and picked up a yellow card, with Ivory Coast’s strong midfield likely to cause him more problems here. I think he is the pick of the bunch to get booked in this one, bringing our Bet Builder to 26/1.
