Cape Verde aim for an unbeaten Group H campaign and a place in the knockouts against Saudi Arabia (1am BST, 7pm local, ITV4 & ITVX). The surprise package of the 2026 World Cup, Bubista’s men have an excellent chance of progressing to the round of 32. Meanwhile, this is a must-win game for the Saudis, who must secure victory to have any hope of qualification.

Cape Verde vs Saudi Arabia Odds

Laros Duarte 1+ shot on target

Duarte leads the Cape Verde side in shots on target in the tournament. He has had two shots so far in the tournament, both hitting the target.

Saudi Arabia are unlikely to provide the defensive solidity of Spain or tenacity of Uruguay. Duarte is likely to have another chance or two on goal here.

Double Chance - Cape Verde or Draw

Cape Verde have gone unbeaten against two better teams than Saudi Arabia. With confidence high, in contrast to an opponent who has just lost 4-0 to Spain, you’d imagine they avoid defeat in this match.

We are yet to see Cape Verde truly take charge of a game, due to opposing two upper-echelon sides. Perhaps they won’t take the game by the scruff of the neck, being more accustomed to reactionary football. But perhaps Bubista’s men can take advantage of a Saudi side at higher risk of elimination.

Under 2.5 goals

Cape Verde have had most of their luck on the counter. Even in scoring two goals against Uruguay, they only had a total of four shots. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia have found the net just once in their two games thus far.

I am not expecting this one to be a goal-feast. Saudi Arabia are on the precipice while Cape Verde are edging towards dreamland. I could see this being a tentative affair decided by a goal or two.
