Both sides will be aiming to make their mark in a group which has already seen Bayern Munich fly out of the blocks with a 10-0 demolition of Auckland City.

Boca, who will be without former Manchester United and Napoli star Edinson Cavani in attack, face a Benfica side boasting the likes of Angel Di Maria and Vangelis Pavlidis.

Miguel Angel Russo has urged his Boca team to be aggressive when defending and bold in attack, while Benfica boss Bruno Lage expects a great game.

Neither side are known to be staunch in defence, so all the ingredients are there for an entertaining spectacle.

Benfica to win

Benfica have arrived in Miami with a point to prove after a frustrating domestic campaign. Lage has the squad depth at his disposal to plot a deep run at this tournament, provided his key players turn up in form.

Barcelona eliminated the Eagles at the Champions League round of 16 stage after they finished 16th in the new league stage format, but there was no disgrace in that.

Their quality and experience of facing high-calibre opponents should give them the edge over a Boca side that has struggled for goals in big matches.

Xeneize went out in the second-qualifying round of the Copa Libertadores to Alianza Lima after failing to successfully overturn a 1-0 deficit in the second leg at home.

They also lost in the knockout rounds of the Aperture Championship after failing to score in either game.

Benfica - Over 4.5 Corners

Benfica's attacking style generates plenty of wide play and set pieces. Expect them to rack up corners against a Boca side likely to sit deep and absorb pressure, especially if they fall behind early.

Lage's side tallied 61 corners in the Champions League last season at a rate of 5.08 per match.

They should be able to generate at least five in Miami, where they are expected to dominate possession by pressing their opponents high up the pitch.

Kerem Akturkoglu to score anytime

The pre-match focus has been on Di Maria, who will go up against a club from his home country of Argentina, but Boca will be well advised not to forget about Akturkoglu.

The Turkish winger outperformed Di Maria in terms of goals and assists last season, scoring 11 and setting up 11 more in Portugal's top flight.

The ex-Galatasaray star also scored four Champions League goals in 11 games and looks good value to get his name on the scoresheet against Boca.

Marcos Rojo to be shown a card

Boca's experienced defender Rojo has a reputation for being a tough and occasionally reckless tackler and that makes him a great candidate to go into the book on Monday night.

The former Manchester United man has been cautioned in four of his last eight appearances.
