This game may come too soon for Savinho and Jeremy Doku. The City wingers will be assessed but may return later this month.
Mateo Kovacic’s ankle injury and Josko Gvardiol’s fractured tibia mean Pep Guardiola will be without the Croatian pair.
There is a possibility that John Stones is handed some minutes. The former Everton defender has been out since December
Salford could call upon a familiar face. Ex-Liverpool forward Fabio Borini now plies his trade at the Peninsula Stadium.

Manchester City vs Salford Stats
- The FA Cup is actually the English trophy Pep Guardiola has won the joint-least. It says it all for his dominance that he has still won it three times, joint with the Community Shield
- Salford City are enjoying their most successful FA Cup campaign. This is the first time the club have ever reached the fourth round of the competition
Price Boost: Omar Marmoush to score a goal and assist a goal was 13/5 now 3/1
A handy price boost given the fact Marmoush is likely to lead the line on Saturday. A multi-functional attacking threat, the Egypt international will likely be played centrally with Guardiola reluctant to risk Erling Haaland after he came off in the midweek win over Fulham.
Marmoush netted three times in the club’s Carabao Cup campaign and last season he scored eight goals in 25 games across all competitions. Look for the forward to add to his total of four goals in 2025/26 in this match.
Marmoush is also an able provider, with 36 career assists to his name. Number 37 could well be on its way at the Etihad.

Luke Garbutt to be booked @ 5/2
The ex-Everton boy has seven yellow cards this season. It is logical that, up against faster and trickier players than he is used to, that Garbutt could find himself in the referee’s notebook.
A holdover from the 8-0 last season, Garbutt will know only too well what he is up against. Expect the full back to go in hard and get his name taken.
