Czech Republic vs Kosovo Prediction: Stalemate on the cards in Prague

Czech Republic spent the March international break competing in one of the UEFA play-off pathways to qualify for the FIFA World Cup. They defeated Denmark in the final to secure their place in North America. As part of their warm-up, they face Kosovo in a friendly on Sunday in Prague (4pm local/3pm BST).

Czech Republic striker Patrik Schick contributed five goals in qualifying and he is going to be a key figure over the coming weeks. He's expected to start here, likely alongside Pavel Sulc.

Tomas Soucek is set to feature in midfield, while his former West Ham United teammate Vladimir Coufal may operate as a right wing-back.

Kosovo's most-capped player, Mergim Vojvoda is looking to make his 74th appearance on Sunday, and the captain is likely going to feature in defence as usual.

Forwards Milot Rashica and Vedat Muriqi were left out of the squad for this camp, with boss Franco Foda citing workload across the season for his decision to omit Muriqi.

Their two most recent fixtures were draws in regulation time, with the stalemate here priced at 5/2.

Kosovo are deemed an 18/5 shot to come away with the victory, which they too have managed in two of their last four games.

Czechia's Schick is the 5/4 favourite to score anytime.

They came so close but their dream continues. This may be a game that has nothing riding on it but it could turn out competitive based on how similar their qualifying campaigns were.

Both sides stem from hard work in and out of possession, which could lead to a sort of chess match on Sunday. Kosovo proved a threat in qualifying and they can pose a problem for their hosts, who required extra-time and penalties in both rounds of the play-offs.
