Blue skies are shining over Coventry City right now as the Sky Blues have won their last four matches in the Championship. They will be hoping to keep their winning streak going against league leaders Leeds United on Wednesday (19:45, Sky Sports+) when the pair meet at the CBS Arena.

The Whites turned in a clinical display on Saturday as they hammered Cardiff City 7-0 on home turf, but we have tended to see them at their best at Elland Road. Below you will find my Coventry City vs Leeds United prediction, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Coventry City vs Leeds United Betting Tips

  • Draw @ 5/2
  • Both teams to score @ 4/5

Coventry City vs Leeds United Odds

Coventry have won four of their past five home fixtures in the second tier, and they are 3/1 to stun Leeds on Wednesday. The visitors have drawn two of their last four away trips in the Championship, and the stalemate is on offer at 5/2 (which carries an implied probability of 28.6%).

Leeds have prevailed in three of their latest four outings in the league, and are 19/20 to come away with the three points.

Manor Solomon has scored three goals in his last four league appearances for Leeds, and he is 11/4 (26.7%) to strike anytime in the West Midlands.

Team News

After a lengthy pursuit, Coventry boss Frank Lampard was able to get his man during the winter transfer window as Matt Grimes made the switch from Swansea City. The midfielder was unable to make his debut against the Swans on Saturday but he is in line for his first start when Leeds come to town on Wednesday, potentially at the expense of Victor Torp.

Jamie Allen has been a revelation in recent weeks in the Sky Blues engine room, and Jack Rudoni offers them flair and creativity going forward. Ben Sheaf remains out of action with a muscle injury, and is not expected back for a few more weeks.

Attackers Haji Wright and Ephron Mason-Clark are also in the treatment room with ankle and hamstring issues respectively. Ellis Simms and Brandon Thomas-Asante will continue up top for Coventry as a result, having scored five goals between them in the past four Championship fixtures.

Jake Bidwell and Milan van Ewijk will provide width as the wing-backs to support the front men.

Leeds are hopeful that forward Patrick Bamford is edging closer to full fitness, having been sidelined with a hamstring issue since New Year's Day. Defender Pascal Struijk overcame a hamstring problem of his own to make a cameo from the bench in the 7-0 routing of Cardiff at the weekend, and he will be eager to return to the starting lineup.

However, after a clean sheet and three assists against the Bluebirds, he will find it difficult to dislodge Junior Firpo on the left side of the back line. Joe Rodon and Ethan Ampadu are expected to link up at centre-back once again.

Elsewhere, Joe Rothwell and Ao Tanaka have earned Farke's favour in the engine room, although Ilia Gruev is going to be itching for a recall.

Draw @ 5/2

Lampard looks to be getting things going at Coventry with four wins in a row and his side have suffered just one defeat in their last eight appearances in the second tier. The players look completely comfortable in his system and they are rapidly climbing up the table.

They were 17th when he took over and 10 points adrift of the play-off places. Now they are 11th and just three points behind West Bromwich Albion in sixth. Fans are starting to believe that a season that looked lifeless a few months ago, is now blossoming. On current form, they are notable play-off contenders.

That's why Leeds will be a useful acid test for them, to see how far they've come under Lampard in a few short months. The Chelsea legend still holds an unbeaten record at the CBS, while Leeds have proven to be at their best when they are playing at Elland Road.

This makes me believe the Sky Blues can take a point from the table-toppers. They have shown to be resilient at home sine Lampard took charge, and Leeds head here with consecutive stalemates on their last two away days in the league.

Consistency on the road has been their only issue this campaign, and a resurgent Coventry will make life difficult for them in CV6.

Both teams to score @ 4/5

Leeds may not have as many wins on their travels as they do at home but they still boast the strongest attack in the division that has mustered 60 goals from 30 games.

In Joel Piroe, Dan James, Brenden Aaronson and Solomon, the visitors have an attacking quartet that have scored 57 per cent of the Whites' total between themselves, and each of them profited in Saturday's comfortable victory over Cardiff.

They might not be able to post the same numbers as Leeds' star men but Thomas-Asante and Simms have looked sharp up top for Coventry in recent weeks, and they have played key roles in the Sky Blues' four-game winning run.

They have four goals apiece in the Championship so far, and they have scored five between them over the past four matches.

The two sets of attackers are in strong form in front of goal, so both teams to score looks to be an appealing selection for this clash.
