Blackburn Rovers are flying in the Championship. John Eustace's side have won six games on the bounce and they've kept clean sheets in each of their last five. They sit fifth in the table and have a three-point cushion within the play-off places.

They travel south to face Millwall at The Den on Saturday (15:00). The Lions have lost three matches in a row as they seek for Neil Harris' successor. Below you will find my Millwall vs Blackburn Rovers prediction, featuring the latest team news and match odds.

Millwall vs Blackburn Rovers Betting Tips

  • Blackburn to win to nil @ 4/1
  • Under 1.5 goals @ 13/8

Millwall vs Blackburn Rovers Odds

Millwall are 6/5, which has an implied probability of 45.5%, to win their first league match since November 6, having gone six games without a win in the second tier. Blackburn are valued at 21/10 (32.3%) to extend their winning run to seven matches.

The draw can be backed at the same price, with Millwall experiencing just two stalemates on home soil this term.

Both teams to score - no has been successful in Millwall's last two outings at The Den, while striking in each of Rovers' last five encounters in the Championship. This market is priced at 8/11 for this contest.

Team News

Millwall are missing key defenders Jake Cooper and Shaun Hutchinson due to injuries, and both have been huge losses for the Lions in recent weeks. Japhet Tanganga and Murray Wallace are the makeshift duo for now, while Ryan Leonard will continue on the right side of the defence.

Joe Bryan has mostly been Millwall's left-back this season but Daniel McNamara was deployed there against Middlesbrough last time out. Young talent Billy Mitchell made his second appearance of the season on Teesside after being out for a long period of time. He may make another cameo here, but he is expected to get back up to full fitness first before he can be considered for a start.

Casper De Norre and George Savile are expected to be the midfield duo once again, while Romain Esse and Femi Azeez should occupy the flanks.

Blackburn have no fresh injury concerns heading into the weekend but they have welcomed back influential playmaker Todd Cantwell back after missing out at the weekend against Luton Town.

His absence led to Eustace starting forwards Makhtar Gueye and Yuki Ohashi together but one will be expected to drop out if Cantwell returns to the starting lineup. As it is Millwall they are facing, who are renowned for being physical, you would expect the towering Gueye to be the one to be kept in the side to offer Rovers an outlet at The Den.

The impressive partnership of Lewis Travis and Sondre Tronstad is set to continue in the engine room, with both players being key men in Rovers's system this season.

Liverpool loanee Owen Beck is another who has been catching the eye this season and he will resume his post at left-back, while Dom Hyam and Danny Batth will link up again in the heart of the back line.

Blackburn to win to nil @ 4/1

I must admit I am very surprised at the price for this market, and in my opinion is too good an opportunity to pass up. Rovers have been excellent in their six-game winning streak and they have been outstanding defensively, conceding just one goal in that run.

They have shipped just 17 goals from their opening 20 fixtures and only Burnley (eight), Sheffield United (11), Leeds United (15) and West Bromwich Albion (16) have conceded less than Eustace's side.

Millwall have conceded just one more than the visitors, so despite the gap between the two teams in the table, the Lions have largely been strong defensively themselves.

However, they are winless in their last six and have lost their last two home games, which were both by a 1-0 scoreline against Coventry City and Sheffield United. Blackburn, meanwhile, are high on confidence and they will be fancying their chances to make it seven wins in a row.

This will be a good time to face Millwall as they are still in limbo as they are searching for a new boss to succeed Harris. Dave Livermore is in temporary charge and will be hoping to have an instant impact on Saturday.

Unfortunately, I just don't see that happening. Rovers are the form side in the division right now and better teams than Millwall have failed to beat them, including Leeds and Middlesbrough.

I'm backing Rovers to win yet another game to nil and 4/1 is excellent value for this to happen again.

Under 1.5 goals @ 13/8

This is another market where I think there is value to be had on Saturday. Goals have mostly been limited at The Den this season. Six of the 11 clashes here have seen no more than one goal scored - including five of the last six.

Millwall lost 1-0 in the last two outings here and they suffered a 1-0 defeat at Boro last time out, so goals have been hard to come by in their recent fixtures.

For Rovers, four of their last five wins have been by a 1-0 scoreline, so I think all the evidence here points to another low-scoring affair in SE16.

Under 1.5 goals could be another smart play for this match, and I'm of the opinion we will see another 1-0 win for Rovers.
