Derby vs Ipswich Prediction: Tractor Boys to drop more points?

The Championship continues this weekend, and Ipswich Town will just be desperate to get a game under their belts as their rearranged away trip to Portsmouth was postponed for a second time in midweek.
They now sit seven points behind the top two with that game in hand, and will be looking to find an away win as they travel to face Derby at Pride Park (12:31 GMT, Sky Sports Main Event). Below you can find my Derby vs Ipswich predictions featuring team news and betting tips.

Team News
After one of the performances of the season away at Bristol City, John Eustace is surely going to name an unchanged XI for this one. The entire front four of Patrick Agyemang, Ben Brereton Diaz, Bobby Clark and Rhian Brewster all found the net, with Lars-Jorgen Salvesen adding another from the bench.
Left-back Derry Murkin joined from Utrecht and could be on the bench, but Sammie Szmodics will have to wait for his Derby debut, as he joined on loan from Saturday’s opponents Ipswich.
Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna may make a few tweaks after his side dropped points at home to Preston last time out. George Hirst came on at half-time and should start this one, Anis Mehmeti may continue in the number 10 role, while Dan Neil may come in to make his Ipswich debut having arrived from Sunderland.
He may replace a misfiring Jens Cajuste in midfield, although Jack Taylor is another candidate. Marcelino Nunez remains out injured which is an issue for the Tractor Boys, but new arrival Mehmeti should keep his place in the number 10 role ahead of Chuba Akpom.
Derby vs Ipswich Predicted Lineups
- Derby - O’Donnell; Ward, Sanderson, Clarke, Elder; Ozoh, Travis; Brereton Diaz, Clark, Brewster; Agyemang
- Ipswich - Walton; Furlong, O’Shea, Kipre, Davis; Matusiwa, Neil; Burns, Mehmeti, Clarke; Hirst
Derby are priced at 11/4 to win this one while Ipswich are the 19/20 favourites, giving them an implied win probability of 51%. A draw is 21/10, while over 2.5 goals is 6/5.
BTTS is 10/11 and Hirst is the favourite to score first at 9/2.
Derby vs Ipswich Stats
- Derby are unbeaten in 4 league matches
- Ipswich have failed to win their last two
- Patrick Agyemang has scored three goals in his last four Championship matches
Draw @ 21/10
I’m happy to stay on the fence for this one, even though I do think Ipswich have the best squad in the division. The Tractor Boys have seemingly been unable to fix the issues that arise whenever Nunez isn’t playing, and his return could be the key factor in their promotion charge - but he isn’t fit yet.
Derby will be high as a kite after their 5-0 hammering of Bristol City and they are the best away team in the league, but their home form needs to improve. Four home wins out of 15 is not good enough for a team chasing the play-offs, but they are now unbeaten in their last four outings in all competitions.
I think they are good for a point here against an Ipswich team yet to truly catch fire in the Championship.

Scorecast - Patrick Agyemang to score first and 1-1 FT @ 33/1
I think Agyemang is a fantastic forward and leading the line for Derby, he has been superb this season, scoring nine in total in the league. In recent weeks, he’s been key in the Rams rise up the table, scoring three goals in their last four Championship matches.
With Ipswich’s strikers out of form, I think Agyemang is the most likely to open the scoring, before Ipswich come back into the game a rescue a point. 33/1 for that Scorecast looks promising.
