West Brom 1-2 Norwich @ 12/1

Norwich are looking like a fine football team right now and having beaten Wrexham away, could find another win on the road this week. West Brom’s new boss Eric Ramsay saw his side lose late at home to Boro last time out, and this looks to be another tough test for the young gaffer. I’ll back Philippe Clement to outwit him, with in-form Jovon Makama set to continue his fine form.

Nick: 1-1

Conor: 1-1

Charlton 1-1 Derby @ 5/1

Charlton got a valuable 1-0 home win against 9-man Sheffield United at the weekend and their home form is reasonably good, but Derby shocked the Championship by coming away from Deepdale with all three points on Saturday. As a result, I’m going to sit on the fence for this one and back a 1-1 draw.

Nick: 1-0

Conor: 1-1

Ipswich 2-0 Bristol City @ 13/2

Top of the form table and looking really good right now, Ipswich have won five of their last six in all competitions and look to have clicked - especially at Portman Road. This should be fairly straightforward even against a dangerous Bristol City outfit, but I can see another home win to nil here.

Nick: 2-1

Conor: 3-0

Oxford 1-0 QPR @ 15/2

New Oxford United manager Matt Bloomfield saw his side draw 0-0 with Bristol City on Saturday, but I think I fancy them to land an unlikely win at home to QPR in midweek. No travel will help them out, while the new manager bounce is likely to see them pick up a couple of wins at the Kassam. QPR have only beaten Sheffield Wednesday in their last six outings, and I think they might slip up again here.

Nick: 1-2

Conor: 1-1

Coventry 2-1 Millwall @ 7/1

League leaders Coventry came from one goal down to beat Leicester 2-1, and that vital win should take the pressure off slightly after a tricky Christmas period. With Boro and Ipswich in fine form, Coventry will have to maintain their composure to keep top spot, while Millwall could put themselves into the top-two conversation with a win at the CBS Arena.

Alex Neil saw his side beat in-form Watford 2-0, and they are just three points behind Middlesbrough right now. I will back Coventry to get the job done again, but this is arguably the game of the midweek round of fixtures.

Nick: 3-1

Conor: 2-1

Preston 1-2 Hull @ 10/1

Time to start believing the Hull hype? A win at Southampton has them in the top six and although the underlying numbers are poor, the results are superb under Sergej Jakirovic. I’ve had doubts against PNE and they were underlined with the home defeat against Derby, and while Hull are more expansive, I think it will be another home defeat.

Nick: 1-1

Conor: 1-1

Swansea 1-0 Blackburn @ 11/2

Swansea are looking good at home under Vitor Matos despite having to settle for a 1-1 draw against Birmingham on Saturday night. Zan Vipotnik is a wonderful striker and I just don’t fancy Blackburn right now, given they have failed to score in five of their last six outings. Home win.

Nick: 1-1

Conor: 1-0

Sheff Wed 0-4 Birmingham @ 20/1

Easy prediction, especially in a three-game week for Sheffield Wednesday. Their squad is way off it in the Championship and they are set to smash the lowest-points record of 23, set by Rotherham United, even when you remove their points deductions. Birmingham are rubbish away from home but that shouldn’t mean anything for this one.

Nick: 0-3

Wrexham 2-1 Leicester @ 8/1

Wrexham’s winning run came to an end at the hands of Norwich on Saturday, but they’ve shown themselves to be a team that can push for the play-offs this term. Dangerous at home, I just think Leicester have a lot of holes at the back and they’ve failed to win their last four away games. Both teams should score, but I’ll back the hosts.

Nick: 3-1

Conor: 2-1

Southampton 1-2 Sheff Utd @ 9/1

Tonda Eckert can’t convert performances into results right now and the Southampton fans are growing increasingly frustrated after a run of seven Championship games without a win. Unfortunately they are hosting a Sheffield United team that did look to have turned a corner under Chris Wilder and they were trending as one of the best teams in the league before they got two first-half red cards and lost 1-0 to Charlton. Still, with 11 men on the pitch, I’ll back them to win this one.

Nick: 2-2

Conor: 1-2

Watford 3-0 Portsmouth @ 12/1

Millwall did a job on Watford at the weekend to end their winning run, but I think the Hornets can get back to winning ways in midweek as they host a dreadful Pompey outfit. Even in the 1-0 win over Sheff Wed they were unconvincing, and I worry for them moving forward. Two wins out of 12 on the road isn’t good enough, and I expect a heavy defeat in this one.

Nick: 2-1

Conor: 2-0

Stoke 1-1 Middlesbrough @ 5/1

Finally we finish with an impressive Boro outfit travelling to Stoke. The Potters haven’t conceded a goal in their last four games, and I do think this game should suit them as they can play on the counter-attack.

Maybe in hope more than expectation as a Coventry fan, but I hope Boro slip up here - I’ll go for a 1-1.

Nick: 1-2

Conor: 1-2
