Cardiff vs Hull Prediction: Tigers to show their claws

The battle to avoid relegation from the Championship continues on Tuesday night (19:45, Sky Sports+) as strugglers Cardiff City and Hull City go head-to-head in an intriguing six-pointer at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Cardiff are 13/8 to claim a valuable win, while Hull are 7/4 to come away from the Welsh capital with the three points. 

 A draw at the Cardiff City Stadium is available at 11/5, while Hull to win both halves is currently 17/2.

Starting with Cardiff, the hosts will have to do without the services of the suspended Dimitrios Goutas after he was sent off last time out against Plymouth Argyle in a 1-1 draw. 

The Bluebirds must also continue without Ollie Tanner who remains sidelined with a foot injury.  

As for Hull, the Tigers have no fresh injury concerns following their impressive 1-0 win at promotion-chasing Sunderland at the weekend. 

Louie Barry, Liam Miller and Kasey Palmer remain on the sidelines for the visitors.

Ruben Selles and his Hull side will have taken plenty of confidence from their victory at the Stadium of Light on Saturday as they added another scalp against a promotion-chasing club to their collection. 

Beating both the Black Cats and Sheffield United, while also drawing with frontrunners Leeds United, Hull have shown they can be a match for any side in this division. 

The Tigers can look back on an impressive record in this fixture, winning all of their last seven games against the Bluebirds in the Championship. 

Hull, who are level on 33 points with Cardiff with both sides three points above the relegation zone, ran out 4-1 winners the last time these sides met at MKM Stadium back in September and the Tigers look capable of completing the double over the Bluebirds on Tuesday.

Over 2.5 goals @ 11/10

That 4-1 win for the Tigers was no anomaly in terms of a high-scoring game between these two sides. 

There have been 12 goals scored across the last three Championship meetings between these teams and another high-scoring encounter can be expected in the Welsh capital this week. 

Cardiff have shown their defence is not to be relied upon, especially following their 7-0 defeat at Leeds at the start of this month. 

With that in mind, and given this bet would have landed in five of the last six meetings between these teams, over 2.5 total goals catches the eye at 11/10 for this relegation six-pointer.
