Cardiff vs Portsmouth Prediction: Riza’s Bluebirds to soar again

Two of the Championship's bottom three meet on Tuesday (19:45. Sky Sports+), but there is reason for both Cardiff and Portsmouth to be feeling optimistic ahead of this clash at the Cardiff City Stadium.
The hosts moved off the bottom of the table thanks to their emphatic 5-0 victory over Plymouth on Saturday lunchtime, a result that extended their unbeaten run to three matches and further endorsed the claims of interim boss Omer Riza to be named the club's new permanent manager.
Cardiff vs Portsmouth Betting Tips
Pompey briefly replaced the Bluebirds at the foot of the standings by virtue of that result, but their stay there was short-lived as later on Saturday they earned their first victory of the campaign, triumphing 2-1 at Queens Park Rangers.
That sets up Tuesday's showdown in South Wales nicely and this is a fixture that brings back memories of the 2008 FA Cup final between the two sides, a match Pompey won 1-0.
Thanks in part to their recent min-revival under Riza, Cardiff will head into this match as the 9/10 favourites to collect all three points, with Portsmouth priced at 16/5 and the draw is 5/2, which has an implied probability of 28.6%.
Bluebirds forward Wilfried Kanga, who is yet to score since joining the club on loan from Hertha Berlin over the summer, is 2/1 joint-favourite to open the scoring, the same price as team-mate Callum Robinson.
Team News
Cardiff interim manager Riza could be tempted to stick with the same starting XI that thrashed Plymouth last time out, with Aaron Ramsey, Ryotaro Tsunoda, Kion Etete, Joe Ralls and Cian Ashford all still on the treatment table.
Portsmouth's injury list is also extensive, with Will Norris, Conor Shaughnessy, Ibane Bowat, Jacob Farrell and Colby Bishop all currently sidelined.
Cardiff to win and both teams to score @ 3/1
After taking just a solitary point from their opening seven Championship matches of the season, Cardiff have collected seven in their three games since, a run that includes back-to-back home successes over Millwall and Plymouth.
Riza, who lost his first match after taking over as interim boss following the sacking Erol Bulut last month, certainly appears to be getting a tune out of his side and he will hope his improving team can prove too strong for Portsmouth.
Pompey will be buoyed by their own win at QPR last time out, but they were beaten in their two away matches before that, notably going down 6-1 at Stoke at the start of October.
John Mousinho's visitors have scored in all five of their away games this season and can repeat that trick on Tuesday, but the three points should remain in South Wales.

#PickYourPunt - Callum Lang to score anytime and over 2.5 goals in the match @ 9/2
Callum Lang is Pompey's leading scorer this season with four goals and all of those strikes have come away from home, including the winner from the penalty spot against QPR.
That goal at Loftus Road came off the back of a three-game injury absence for Lang, who has actually notched in successive appearances after also scoring in the defeat at Burnley, and he can make it three goals in as many games on Tuesday.
Combining Lang to score anytime with over 2.5 total goals in the match could prove a successful #PickYourPunt, with three or more goals having been notched in six of Pompey's last eight games, while City showed their attacking quality with the five they registered against Plymouth.
