Team News
Hamburg are missing ex-Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga with a thigh injury. Forward Yussuf Poulsen (hamstring) and Miro Muheim (ankle) are also sidelined.
Striker Adam Hlozek has been out with a calf injury since January, but Hoffenheim remain confident he will return before the end of the season. But at press time it seems unlikely that his comeback will take place here.
Joining him in the treatment room are Koki Machida (cruciate) and Valentin Gendrey (ankle).

Hamburger SV vs Hoffenheim Odds
Hamburg are underdogs, which is unsurprising given their comparative league position. It’s 11/4 if you fancy a win for the home side.
Hoffenheim have a solid chance at 4/5 while the draw is priced at 16/5.
Hamburger SV vs Hoffenheim Stats
- Both clubs have identical records from their last six games: one win, two draws and three defeats
- Andrej Kramaric is the joint-fifth top scorer in the Bundesliga this season with 12 goals. He is the highest-scoring Bundesliga player from a club outside this season’s Champions League
Hoffenheim to win @ 4/5
Wins have not been easy to come by for either of these sides. Hamburg are winless in five outings, dating back to their 2-1 win over Hamburg in early March. Hoffenheim also have just one win to show for it in their last six games, but it came in their most recent outing.
A 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund was sealed with a dramatic 98th-minute penalty from Kramaric. The breathless victory kept Hoffenheim’s Champions League dreams out of the dustbin of history. That sort of result can bolster a team. With Hamburg languishing just above the dropzone and a top four spot still within reach, you can expect Hoffenheim to get back into the winning habit here.

Andrej Kramaric to score anytime @ 6/5
Kramaric is in amongst the division’s top goal-getters. His 12 strikes sit behind only Bayern pair Harry Kane and Luis Diaz, Stuttgart’s Denis Undav and Serhou Guirassy of Borussia Dortmund.
After a brace dragged his side to victory over Dortmund, I like the former Leicester City man to add to his tally in this one. After all, Kramaric is Hoffenheim’s all-time top goalscorer for a reason.
