Brighton vs West Ham Prediction: Goals on offer at the Amex

Brighton & Hove Albion will welcome back former boss Graham Potter and his West Ham United side to the Amex Stadium on Saturday afternoon (15:00).
The two sides shared the spoils in the reverse fixture back in December, but both are finishing this season with a whimper, as the hosts have lost three of their last four league games, and the Hammers are winless in six matches. Read on for my Brighton vs West Ham predictions, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Joao Pedro will serve the first of a three-match suspension for Brighton, following his sending off last weekend, and he's likely to be replaced by Kaoru Mitoma, who recovered from injury to feature as a substitute last time out.
Tariq Lamptey, Georginio Rutter, Joel Veltman, Adam Webster, Igor Julio and Jason Steele all remain on the treatment table for the Seagulls.
The hosts will be keen to welcome back James Milner and Ferdi Kadioglu, who are both closing in on a return having been sidelined for several months with respective hamstring and toe injuries. However, this weekend's fixture is set to come too soon.
Brighton vs West Ham Stats
- Brighton have lost three of the last four in the Premier League
- West Ham are on a winless run of six games
As for the visitors, Aaron Cresswell, Michail Antonio and Crysencio Summerville all remain out injured while Evan Ferguson is ineligible to face his parent club.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Edson Alvarez both missed the draw with Southampton due to knocks, and will be assessed ahead of kick-off on Saturday.
Jarrod Bowen is set to continue to operate the right flank after scoring his 10th goal of the season last time out, with Niclas Fullkrug set to lead the line.
The hosts are 4/6 favourites for Saturday's contest, giving them an implied win probability of 60%, while the draw is currently priced at 16/5 and a West Ham win can be backed at 4/1.
Danny Welbeck, who is bidding to score 10 goals in a single Premier League season for the first time, leads the anytime goalscorer market at 6/4, while Fullkrug is shortest-priced for the visitors at 5/2.
Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals @ 1/1
Both teams don't have a great deal to play for heading into the weekend's fixtures - the hosts are in no man's land with European football pretty much out of reach, and while relegation is still mathematically possible for West Ham, they're highly likely to playing Premier League football next year.
There isn't a great deal to split the pair either form-wise, as Brighton have lost three of their last four in the league and the Hammers are on a six-game winless run.
I'm not tempted to back either side in the match result market but there could be goals on the cards at the Amex given the leaky backlines on show.
Both teams have scored in 23 of Brighton’s 33 league games this term – only Fulham (24) have seen both teams score in more games – while Brighton’s league fixtures are averaging 3.21 goals per game this campaign.
In addition, Fabian Hurzeler's side have shipped 11 goals in their last four games, while both teams have bagged in four of West Ham's last five fixtures.

Danny Welbeck to score anytime @ 6/4
Pedro's absence will be sorely felt on Saturday by Brighton, but Danny Welbeck is more than capable of carrying the Seagull's attacking threat.
The former Manchester United man has scored nine times this season and is reasonably priced to score anytime time this weekend. In fact, should the 34-year-old manage to bag on Saturday, it'll mark the first time he's scored 10 goals in a single Premier League campaign.
