Brentford will welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon (15:00) as both sides search for an upturn in form.

The Bees enter this weekend's contest on the back of a 1-1 draw with Arsenal, while the Seagulls have returned from the international break in poor form, going four matches without a win across all competitions. Team News

There are no fresh concerns for Brentford, who emerged unscathed from the draw at the Emirates last week.

However, the Bees remain without long-term absentees Igor Thiago, Fabio Carvalho and Josh Dasilva. Gustavo Nunes made a substitute appearance against Arsenal following a back injury, and he could be handed further minutes this weekend.

As for the visitors, they have an extensive injury list which includes the likes of James Milner, Adam Webster, Igor Julio, Tariq Lamptey, Jason Steele and Georginio Rutter.

Joel Veltman and Kaoru Mitoma are touch-and-go heading into Saturday's contest, although the latter stands a decent chance of featuring. Fabian Hurzeler will welcome back Jan Paul van Hecke from suspension after the 24-year-old missed the draw with Leicester City.

Brentford vs Brighton Stats

  • Brentford have won just one of their last six Premier League games - a 2-1 victory over Bournemouth on March 15
  • The last two meetings between the sides have resulted in a draw

Brentford vs Brighton Odds

Brentford are currently 7/5 to win on Saturday, giving them an implied win probability of 41.7% and the draw can be backed at 11/8, with a Brighton win available at 7/4.

Yoane Wissa currently leads the anytime goalscorer market at 6/4, while Joao Pedro is shortest-priced for the visitors at 13/8.

Match Result - Draw @ 11/4

Brentford and Brighton are currently the embodiment of mid-table, as the pair sit 11th and 10th respectively heading into the weekend's fixture.

There really isn't a lot between these teams and it is worth noting the score was 0-0 when they locked horns in a tepid affair on the south coast back in December.

The Bees have drawn back-to-back games in the league, while Brighton have racked up 12 stalemates this term themselves. Securing European football for next season looks to be increasingly unlikely for both sides which could see a dull game being played out on Saturday.

The last two meetings between the pair have resulted in draws, so I could see another stalemate this weekend, particularly given that both sides don't have a great deal to play for with the exception of a top-half finish.

Yoane Wissa to score anytime @ 6/4

One man who could make a difference on Saturday is Brentford marksman Wissa.

The 28-year-old has been a key contributor for the Bees this season, along with Bryan Mbeumo - in fact, 31 of the 51 goals scored by Brentford this term have been netted by the pair.

Wissa is one behind his partner-in-crime up top on 15 goals, but enters Saturday's contest in good form, scoring at the Emirates last weekend and in the away win against Bournemouth last month.

At 6/4, he's an appealing option to bag anytime, especially since only Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah (both 11) have scored more Premier League home goals this season than the DR Congo international (10).
