Blackburn are set to be without influential midfielder Sondre Tronstad after he sustained a hamstring strain in the defeat at Oxford on Saturday.

Tyrhys Dolan and Ryan Hedges were benched in that contest but could earn recalls, while Adam Forshaw heads the queue to replace Tronstad.

Coventry boss Frank Lampard is likely to be missing Ben Sheaf, Haji Wright and Ephron Mason-Clark and he may name an unchanged side after their 1-0 weekend win at home to Bristol City snapped a run of three without success in the league.

John Eustace will be frustrated after Blackburn lost out at Oxford on Saturday, given that fellow top-six rivals West Brom and Middlesbrough also dropped points.

Rovers have just one point to spare on those sides and Watford, with Bristol City and Sheffield Wednesday a further four back following their weekend reveres.

With the top four in the Championship disappearing over the horizon, the clubs perched from Rovers in fifth to the likes of Swansea in 13^th will all feel they are contenders for the last two spots in the top six and a chance at the play-offs.
