Perth Glory vs Newcastle Jets Prediction: Taylor to leave all the Glory to Adams

Six straight wins in 2026 have seen Newcastle Jets storm to the top of the Australian A-League Men's table, and they will look to make it seven victories in a row on Friday (10:45 GMT, TNT Sports 1) when they pitch up at HBF Park to take on Perth Glory, who are ninth, 10 points behind the league leaders.
Below are my Perth Glory vs Newcastle Jets predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Perth Glory captain Adam Taggart is back fit after missing last week's 2-2 draw at Macarthur FC.
Head coach Adam Griffiths has also called Luca Tevere into his extended squad, but Joel Anasmo (Achilles), Brandon O'Neill (calf) and Cameron Cook (knee) are still sidelined due to injury.
Same again for Newcastle Jets boss Mark Milligan, who heads to Perth without several players including Zach Clough (groin), Kosta Grozos (calf), Alexander Badolato, Christian Bracco and Oscar Fryer (all ACL).

Match Result - Newcastle Jets @ 6/5
In my opinion, Glory pose a credible threat to the Jets' winning run in 2026, having beaten last season's Premier's Plate winners, Auckland FC, 2-1 last time out at HBF Park.
However, I can't ignore Newcastle when they are over EVS to collect all three points.
Milligan's men have swept all before them in 2026, with Auckland, Melbourne City, Western Sydney Wanderers, Wellington Phoenix, Brisbane Roar and Adelaide United all falling to defeat against the Jets, who have racked up an aggregate score of 17-6 over those six games.
Newcastle may not be the best defensive side - in fact, they have conceded the second-most goals (28) - but they can afford to be suspect at the back when they can rip teams to shreds going the other way, as highlighted by their league-leading tally of 37 goals, which is at least 11 more than anyone else.
Glory won 2-1 at McDonald Jones Stadium in November, but that was against a Jets side that had lost three of their first four games, and they now head to Perth top of the table.

Anytime Goalscorer - Eli Adams (NEW) @ 13/8
Clayton Taylor was the hat-trick hero for Newcastle last week, and while I failed to forecast an Adelaide treble for the 21-year-old, I did successfully back him in the Anytime Goalscorer market at 6/4.
Taylor's price stays still for the trip to Perth, but the Jets' other starting winger, Eli Adams, has seen his odds drop from 7/5 to 13/8.
With a lot of the attention on Taylor after his three goals last week, it may be worth looking to Adams in the Anytime Goalscorer market at HBF Park.
The 23-year-old has scored four goals this season, all of which have come in his last nine appearances, as he looks to beat his 2024/25 tally of nine.
Adams has a good goalscoring record against Glory, netting in a 3-2 win for Melbourne Victory during the 2023/24 campaign before opening the scoring in the Jets' 2-2 draw with them in Newcastle last season.
He can strike a ball from anywhere, and if Glory focus too much of their efforts on Taylor, expect Adams to profit on the other side.
