Team News
Dylan Pierias (knee) and Anselmo de Moraes (hip) are out for Adelaide United, but head coach Airton Andrioli is boosted by the return of Ethan Alagich from a hamstring injury.
Vinko Stanisic and Ajak Riak have been omitted from Andrioli’s extended squad, with Austin Ayoubi earning a call-up.
Zach Clough (groin), Kosta Grozos (calf), Alexander Badolato, Christian Bracco and Oscar Fryer (all ACL) headline the absentee list for Newcastle Jets boss Mark Milligan.

Adelaide United vs Newcastle Jets Odds
Adelaide United, unbeaten in their last four games (W2, D2), are 8/5 underdogs on Sunday, implying a 38.5% probability of success, while Newcastle Jets, who have won all five this calendar year, are 6/5 (45.5%) in the Match Result market, with the draw offered at 11/4.
Adelaide United vs Newcastle Jets Stats
- NEW have scored 2+ goals in nine of their 15 ALM games this season
- ADL have scored 2+ goals in seven of their 15
- Taylor (NEW) has scored four goals in 12 ALM apps this season
- Taylor scored in last season's corresponding fixture
Both Teams to Score 2 or More Goals Yes/No - Yes @ 6/4
Heading into the 16th round of fixtures this week, the Jets (2.27) were way out in front for goals scored per game, while Adelaide (1.6) ranked second.
Newcastle have scored 2+ goals in nine of their 15 league matches this season, including seven of their last eight and the most recent three.
The Reds, meanwhile, have scored at least twice in seven of their 15 games, including three of their last four and five of their eight at home in 2025/26.
As well as being the two top-scoring teams, the Jets (26) and United (23) ranked first and joint-second for goals conceded heading into this week's matches, so hopes are high for plenty of goals at Coopers on Saturday.
This will be the first head-to-head meeting of the 2025/26 ALM season, but the sides met last July in the Australia Cup, with the Jets winning 2-1, and all three goals were scored in the first 48 minutes.

Anytime Goalscorer - Clayton Taylor (NEW) @ 6/4
Lachlan Rose (seven), Eli Adams and Clayton Taylor (both four) have scored 15 league goals between them this season, so any one of Newcastle's front three is a good bet in the Anytime Goalscorer market this Saturday.
However, Taylor, at higher odds of 6/4 compared to Rose (21/20) and Adams (7/5), is my pick of the bunch after notching in back-to-back games against Wellington Phoenix and Brisbane Roar.
Both of those wins came on home soil, where the 21-year-old has scored 75% (three) of his four-goal total this season, including his last three.
The Jets winger is looking to beat his previous highest-scoring seasons in 2023/24 and 2024/25, when he notched seven times apiece.
Taylor was on target in last season's corresponding fixture, scoring the winner in a 2-1 win for the Jets (February 2025), and I'm backing him to repeat the feat at Coopers this weekend.
