Al-Kholood vs Al-Qadsiah Prediction: Goals on the cards

Al-Qadsiah suffered a disappointing draw against Al-Taawoun last time out but they are not out of the Saudi Pro League title race with 10 games to go. 

They have seven points to make up on league leaders Al-Nassr and on Thursday they face Al-Kholood, who have given themselves a buffer from the relegation zone with back-to-back wins. Read on for my Al-Kholood vs Al-Qadsiah predictions.

Myziane Maolida and Abdulmalik Al-Harbi are expected to miss out through injury for Al-Kholood.

Al-Qadsiah have a clean bill of health, with new signing Waleed Al-Ahmad impressing since his arrival in January.

Al-Qadsiah are 2/5 to win this one while Al-Kholood are 5/1 to come out on top and the draw is 10/3.

Over 2.5 goals is 8/15 while both teams to score is 8/11 and it is 21/20 for the second half to be higher scoring.

Al-Qadsiah’s Saudi title hopes took their biggest dent since Brendan Rodgers’ arrival at the club last time out as they drew 1-1 with Al-Taawoun, but they are by no means out of the competitive race to top the table and will be looking to bounce back as they visit Al-Kholood on Thursday.

Rodgers’ men have only lost twice all season but six draws has been an issue as they chase down Al-Nassr, Al-Ahli and Al-Hilal.

Their ascent has been rapid, they were a second-tier side as recently as two years ago, but they need to get back into the winners' circle if they are to challenge for the title this time around.

The Knight of the East take on an Al-Kholood side who have pulled away from relegation trouble thanks to three wins from their last five matches, including impressive recent victories against Neom and Al-Khaleej, both above them in the table.

After struggling in front of goal for large parts of this season, they appear to have found their shooting boots with five goals in their last two outings.

As a result, they can play their part in a high-scoring affair. Eight of Al-Qadsiah’s last 14 games have gone over 3.5 goals and a repeat of that is fancied.

Mateo Retegui to score anytime @ 10/11

Mateo Retegui was the top scorer in Serie A last season, netting 25 times for Atalanta, and he has carried on that form since moving to Al-Qadsiah.

The Italian international has 13 goals in 22 Saudi Pro League starts and is also his team’s penalty taker. He netted against Al-Taawoun last time out and looks a solid candidate to get on the scoresheet once more.
