Zambia vs Comoros Prediction: Get on Comoros to be 11/5 Fashion victims

Zambia could put themselves in a prime position for qualification to the last 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations on Friday when they face Comoros in Casablanca (18:30 local, 17:30 GMT, live on 4seven).
The Chipolopolo rescued a point late on against Mali on Monday, while the Coelacanths were well beaten by hosts Morocco in the tournament opener. Read on for my Angola vs Zimbabwe predictions, along with the latest team news and Betfred’s match odds.

Team News
Zambia could stick with largely the same XI which hung in with Mali and then snatched a late equaliser.
Captain Fashion Sakala was substituted during the second half but should be ok to go again on Friday. Lecce’s Lameck Banda could again get the nod on the right-hand side in Moses Sichone’s 4-2-3-1.
Abdel-Hakim Abdallah could come into the Comoros starting lineup after replacing Yannis Kari at the three-quarter point of the 2-0 loss to Morocco on opening night.
Zambia vs Comoros Predicted Lineups
- Zambia: Mwanza; M Banda, B Sakala, Chanda, L Musounda; Tembo, Chaiwa; L Banda, Kangwa, F Sakala; Daka
- Comoros: Pandor; Toibibou, Soilihi, Abdallah, Boura; B Youssouf, Z Youssouf, Iyad Mohamed, Selemani; M’Changama; Said
The traders at Betfred make Zambia favourites, pricing them up at 23/20 which implies a 46.5% probability of the Copper Bullets coming away with three points.
Comoros are 11/4, with the draw 2/1. You can get 6/5 about Both Teams to Score, and it’s 8/13 for one or both to draw a blank.
Zambia vs Comoros Stats
- Comoros had only 2 touches in the Morocco box in their Group A opener, versus the hosts’ 40
- Comoros have scored just 7 goals in this 7-game Afcon cycle taking in qualifying and the finals so far
- Fashion Sakala has scored 11 international goals for Zambia but is yet to net in Afcon finals football (4 games played)
Zambia to Win to Nil @ 9/5
They were second best for long spells against Mali, but there was always an edge about Zambia in their clash on Monday which suggested they could come back and claim something.
As dramatic as their injury-time equaliser was, it wasn’t a surprise given the way the Copper Bullets played. The only surprise came in Patson Daka not sticking the landing over his somersault celebration.
Now up against a weaker opposition in Comoros, Zambia should have more than enough to dictate the flow of the game. And given some of the desperate defending they demonstrated against Mali, they should be able to protect Willard Mwanza too.
I love the look of the 9/5 about them winning to nil at an implied 35.7% chance.

Fashion Sakala Anytime Goalscorer @ 11/5
So often on Monday the ball went through skipper Sakala as Zambia looked to probe. And it’s easy to see why given his club successes at the likes of Rangers and Al-Fayha.
He’s also delivered in qualifying football time and again for his national side, and a goal at a major finals would be the icing on the cake.
The 11/5 offered by Betfred underestimates the amount the ball is likely to find its way to Sakala, so this is definitely a pick I’m getting behind.
