Team News
Gabon skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was only deemed fit enough for the bench earlier in the week, but after coming on in the 33rd minute, he's in line to start Sunday's crunch clash.
Mario Lemina was brought on at the same time as Aubameyang, and he could also start his country's second group game, with Teddy Averlant and Eric Bocoum potentially making way for the duo.
Mozambique could name an unchanged starting XI following their narrow defeat, with Reinildo Mandava and Geny Catamo likely to play key roles again.
Faisal Bangal, Gildo, Domingues and Nanani are all contenders to start if changes are made.
Gabon vs Mozambique Predicted Lineups
- Gabon: Mbaba; Oyono, Ecuele Manga, Moussounda, Ekomie; Ndong, Lemina, Poko; Boaunga, Openda; Aubameyang
- Mozambique: Siluane; Diogo Calila, Mexer, Reinildo, Langa; Kambala, Guima, Amade; Witi, Catamo, Ratifo
Gabon are 9/10 favourites, implying a 52.6% probability of success, with Mozambique 10/3, or a 23.1% chance, and the draw offered at 9/4.
Gabon vs Mozambique Stats
- Aubameyang (GAB) has 39 goals in 85 caps
- MOZ recorded just four shots in their opening game
Anytime Goalscorer - Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (GAB) @ 5/4
Gabon's main man should receive more minutes on Sunday, increasing the chances of him getting on the scoresheet at the second attempt.
The 36-year-old has scored 39 times in 85 caps for his country, grabbing six goals in five games this calendar year.
Aubameyang has also been in good form for his club, Olympique Marseille, netting eight goals in 20 appearances across Ligue 1 (five in 14) and the Uefa Champions League (three in six) this season.

Match Result - Gabon @ 9/10
Gabon have been competitive in every match this calendar year, with one of their highlight results a goalless draw with Ivory Coast in September.
Mozambique have been less impressive in 2025, suffering a few heavy defeats against Algeria (5-1), Uganda (4-0) and Angola (4-1).
Against the Ivorians on Wednesday, Mozambique managed just four shots, two of which hit the target.
With Aubameyang back in the starting XI, I think Gabon will have too much for their opponents this Sunday.
