Team News

Darlene Yongwa is doubtful for Cameroon after coming off in the 21st minute of last Sunday's 2-1 victory over South Africa in the last 16 with a hamstring injury. The 25-year-old was replaced by Mahamadou Nagida, who could start in his place on Friday.

The rest of David Pagou's starting XI could stay the same, with Bayer Leverkusen striker Christian Kofane seeking to score in a third consecutive game.

Football Odds

Morocco midfielder Azzedine Ounahi, who provided two assists in his country's final group game, a 3-0 victory over Zambia on December 29, missed last Sunday's 1-0 success against Tanzania in the last 16 and has been ruled out for the remainder of the tournament due to a calf muscle tear.

Captain Achraf Hakimi returned from injury in that match, though, playing the duration, and he looks set to go again from the start against Cameroon.

Cameroon vs Morocco Predicted Lineups

  • Cameroon: Epassy; Malone Junior, Kotto, Nouhou; Tchamadeu, Avom, Baleba, Nagida; Mbeumo, Namaso; Kofane
  • Morocco: Bono; Hakimi, Aguerd, Masina, Mazraoui; El Khannouss, El Aynaoui, Saibari; Diaz, El Kaabi, Ezzalzouli

Cameroon vs Morocco Odds

Cameroon, who have lost just two of their last 13 games (W7, D4), are 11/2 underdogs to triumph in regulation time on Friday, implying a 15.4% probability of success, while favourites Morocco are 4/7, or a 63.6% chance, to progress to the semi-finals without requiring extra time or penalties.

The draw, which would ensure another 30 minutes of action, is priced at 11/4. Cameroon are 11/4 to win the tie by any means, with Morocco 1/4 in the same market.

Morocco to Win, Both Teams 4+ Corners & Both Teams 20+ Booking Pts has been boosted to 8/1 (was 7/1).

Cameroon vs Morocco Stats

  • Malone (CAM) is averaging 1.3 fouls p/g at the 2025 Afcon
  • Ezzalzouli (MAR) has drawn a yellow-card challenge in both tournament starts
  • Diaz (MAR) has scored in all four games (seven shots on target)
  • Tchamadeu (CAM) has registered a shot in all three of his appearances

Player to Receive a Card - Che Malone (CAM) @ 7/4

Cameroon defender Che Malone, who plays his club football for USM Alger in the Algerian Ligue 1, has started three of his country's four games at the 2025 Afcon, impressing on the right-hand side of a back three.

The 26-year-old is averaging 2.3 tackles, 2.3 balls recovered and five clearances per game, but he's also averaging 1.3 fouls per game, giving away a couple of free-kicks against Gabon and one apiece against Ivory Coast and South Africa.

Malone, who has received two yellows and one red in 10 league appearances for USM Alger this season, is yet to be shown a card in the competition for Cameroon, but that may change on Friday up against Morocco winger Abde Ezzalzouli, who is averaging 1.8 fouls per game, despite half (two) of his four appearances coming from the bench.

The Real Betis star started his first game of the tournament against Zambia on December 29, and in that 3-0 victory, he was fouled twice, with Eliya Mandanji booked for an unfair challenge on him in the 55th minute.

Then, in the 1-0 win against Tanzania in the last 16 on Sunday, Ezzalzouli was taken down four times, with Dickson Job, playing on the right-hand side of a back three, shown a yellow for a foul on him in the 90th minute.

Ezzalzouli, averaging 2.7 fouls won per game in La Liga this season, could present a few problems for Malone in Rabat, making the Cameroonian a prime candidate in the Player to Receive a Card market.

Bet Builder - Brahim Diaz (MAR) 1+ Shots on Target & Junior Tchamadeu (CAM) 1+ Shots @ 9/4

Real Madrid's Brahim Diaz has scored in all four games for Morocco at the 2025 Afcon, netting against Comoros, Mali, Zambia and Tanzania, racking up seven shots on target (1.75 p/g) in total.

The 26-year-old is leading the Golden Boot charts at the tournament, and a fifth consecutive strike wouldn't be surprising, but I'll play things slightly safer and back a shot on target instead.

I'm also adding in a shot for Cameroon's right wing-back, Junior Tchamadeu, who opened the scoring in the 34th minute of his country's 2-1 victory over South Africa in the last 16 on Sunday.

The 22-year-old, who is averaging 0.4 shots per game for Stoke City in the 2025/26 EFL Championship, scoring once, has recorded an effort in all three of his 2025 Afcon appearances, so he looks like a good bet for a shot on Friday.
