It’s Saturday and you know what that means. It’s time for another acca. The Premier League, SPL and Bundesliga are all present and correct. Like an underfunded Eurovision. Bet Britain would still get the old ‘nil pois’.

Everton vs West Ham - Draw
The two teams who appear twice on David Moyes’ managerial CV meet in this one, as the rusty Hammers try and smash those chewy Toffees.
Everton are still in the fight to return to Europe for the first time since the 2017/18 season while West Ham are duking it out down at the bottom.
The Hammers are two points above the trap door at press time. Everton have drawn with Brentford and lost to bitter rivals Liverpool in their last two.
The Hammers can take confidence from a 4-0 drubbing of Championship-bound Wolves and a solid 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace. I think they’ll win another point here.
Aberdeen to beat Kilmarnock
Scottish football’s most recent non-Glasgow champions currently sit second in Group B of the Premiership. The Dons are seven points off topping the section, with Dundee United running away with this phony war.
Kilmarnock are at real risk of landing in the play-offs, currently sitting in 11th place. Winning just two of their last eight games hasn’t helped their case. I think a more composed Aberdeen will take this one.
Aston Villa to beat Fulham
The Villans are a tough side to pin down. Are they the team who went winless for their first five Premier League games of this season? Are they the one that won 12 of their next 13 matches after that slow start? They are all that and more.
After losing to hopeless Wolves, floundering Chelsea and mercurial Manchester United a few weeks ago, Unai Emery has found his formula. Seven points from their last three games makes happier reading for the Villa faithful.
Fulham will still harbour ambitions of gatecrashing the European places. One win in their last five doesn’t convince me they can do it. I reckon Villa win here to bolster their own continental qualification campaign.
Bayer Leverkusen to beat Koln
The 2023/24 champions have reverted to the mean somewhat since Xabi Alonso went for a spin in the Bernabeu tumble dryer. Bayern Munich have returned to their perennial throne and, after a runners-up spot and SuperCup victory last term, Bayer are now duking it out in sixth place.
Koln are 12th in the Bundesliga and look like staying there. European ascension is impossible, relegation is unlikely. Bayer have more to play for and the impetus and quality to emerge victorious.
Hoffenheim to beat Hamburger SV
Both teams have been on a dodgy run, with both racking up one win, two draws and three losses in their last six. But Hoffenheim are still in the Champions League hunt and upset Borussia Dortmund 2-1 last time out.
Unlike their opponents, Hamburg’s most recent win came six games ago. I expect a momentum-backed Hoffenheim and their eternal man, Andrej Kramaric, to have a little fun on Saturday.
