Invincibles charge on
The reigning champions looked in ominous form again against Southern Brave on Monday, initially wobbling at 18/2 before Jordan Cox and Sam Curran calmly shut the door. Cox's 56 off 37 and Curran's unbeaten 50 off 32 underpinned a 101-run stand that turned a potentially tricky chase of 134 into a canter with 11 balls left.
With the ball, Rashid Khan's 3/20 - including three wickets in his opening set - and Sam Curran's 3/21 ripped through Brave after Jason Behrendorff had made the early inroads.
The Invincibles look to have all angles covered: high-octane power at the top via Will Jacks, a red-hot Cox at three, all-round punch from Curran and brother Tom, and elite spin from Rashid and Nathan Sowter.
Rockets continuing to fire
Rockets throttled Manchester Originals to just 98/8 at Trent Bridge last time out, with David Willey's 3/11 setting the tone and the supporting cast landing their shots - Rehan Ahmed 2/14 and Sam Cook 2/21 - before the latter's composed 45 not out helped them cruise to a seven-wicket win.
Ahmed has been in sensational form across formats this season and he will need to deliver something similar if the Rockets are to come away from south London with a victory. Willey's left-arm swing at the Oval top order could also be key - if Jacks and Tamanda Muyeye come out of the blocks quickly, Invincibles are hard to stop.
Pitch & conditions
That record total of 226/4 from the Invincibles against Welsh Fire tells the story of how the Oval pitch has been playing this year; unlike many of the grounds, the bounce is true and the carry is good, and the batsmen have been getting plenty of value for their shots. Thursday evening is expected to be dry and mild in London, mostly cloudy with temperatures around 20c and only a light breeze.

Key odds
Invincibles are perhaps surprisingly strong favourites for this one at 8/11, with Rockets rated an 11/10 chance. There hasn't been much between the teams this season, but the hosts' strong performance at the Oval does probably give them the edge.
Jacks heads the Invincibles top batter market at 9/4, but there's more value in backing Cox to continue his fine form at 7/2 or Muyeye at a decent looking 4/1. Joe Root (7/2) and Tom Banton (10/3) top the market for Rockets but the eye is drawn to that man Ahmed at a chunky 6/1.

Best Bets
Cox has been on fire this tournament, scoring 198 in just five innings at an average of 66, while Ahmed is averaging 45 for the Rockets. Both of these are big game players and I expect them to enjoy the pressure of a top-of-the-table clash. We will back them both to beat their runs lines, set at 20.5 and 15.5 respectively.
