Kolkata Knight Riders are yet to get off the mark in this season's IPL, losing to Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad before Monday's washout against Punjab Kings. The Knight Riders host Lucknow Super Giants in Thursday's fixture at Eden Gardens (starts 3pm) and last year's meeting between the teams was an absolute cracker.

Kolkata lost by just four runs, chasing a massive target of 239 at their home ground, and they should have star all-rounder Sunil Narine back for this rematch.

Team News

Kolkata Knight Riders are confident that Australian all-rounder Cameron Green will be fit enough to bowl for the first time this season. Sunil Narine is available after recovering from an abdominal injury but fellow spinner Varun Chakravarthy (hand) is a doubt.

Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant is likely to bat at number three after his unbeaten 68 against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday. Spinner Manimaran Siddharth, who replaced South Africa fast bowler Anrich Nortje for that game, should keep his place.

KKR vs LSG Odds

Kolkata Knight Riders are Evs to beat 4/5 visitors Lucknow Super Giants at Eden Gardens.

The Super Giants are 5/6 to have the highest opening partnership with Kolkata 10/11 and the draw 22/1.

Mitchell Marsh to be LSG top batter @ 11/4

Mitchell Marsh captained Australia during their disappointing T20 World Cup campaign but he looked in good nick during his two innings at the tournament.

Marsh thumped 54 off 27 balls in the Aussies' Group B defeat to Sri Lanka before signing off with an unbeaten 64 from 33 deliveries against Oman.

He hit three sixes in an innings of 35 in Lucknow Super Giants' opening IPL game against Delhi Capitals, in which he was pipped to top-runscorer honours by Abdul Samad, who made 36 at number six.

Marsh may well be inspired by Thursday's trip to Eden Gardens, where he played a starring role in Lucknow's thrilling four-run win last season.

He struck 81 off 48 balls and finished the season with 627 runs in 13 innings, making him comfortably the most successful overseas batsman in the 2025 IPL.

LSG to hit most sixes @ 5/6

Lucknow Super Giants took it slow and steady in Sunday's five-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad, reaching their victory target of 157 with just one ball to spare.

Captain Rishabh Pant did not hit a single six in his patient knock of 68 not out but he and his teammates could cut loose at Eden Gardens.

Lucknow struck 15 sixes to KKR's 10 in this fixture last season, when Super Giants star Nicholas Pooran hit eight of the 36 deliveries he faced over the ropes.

Mohammed Shami and Prince Yadav have been outstanding with the new ball in Lucknow's first two matches this season.

They will be targeting Kolkata's big hitters Finn Allen and Cameron Green, who were both dismissed in the second over of Monday's game against Punjab Kings before rain ended the contest.

There is bound to be some tension in the KKR camp after their slow start to the 2026 campaign and Lucknow look a solid bet to hit more sixes than their hosts.
