Horse Racing Tips: City to silence his rivals at Windsor

There's a good mix of flat and jumps action on offer across the five meetings in Britain and Ireland on Monday, with something to cater to every racing fan’s tastes. Ayr gets us underway with a Flat turf fixture in the afternoon and is swiftly followed by jumping action at Newton Abbot. Killarney provides the sole Irish card of the day in the evening, when they also race at Windsor and Lingfield.

Among our Monday fancies is one for trainer Roger Varian who should improve plenty for her most recent run and could be well set for a return to winning ways.

19:20 Windsor - Hayynah @ 16/1

This looks like a competitive race without a standout candidate and with that in mind, Ollie Sangster's HAYYNAH can return to form with a bang here. The daughter of Showcasing has one victory to her name so far and the best is surely yet to come in handicap company.

Making a promising start to her career, she was runner-up in three of her four starts as a two-year-old and was only a length behind the winner when second over course and distance on debut, getting even closer next time, where she was denied by a short head.

She got off the mark in a 5f novice at Southwell back in February and there were some positive signs when fifth in a course and distance handicap last time out.

The handicapper has responded by dropping her another 2lb and that can help her to close the gap.

19:50 Windsor - Kalokalo @ 6/4

There are a couple of last time out winners among the field here and the pair are up against some out of form rivals. Charles Hills' KALOKALO gets the nod, due to the fact that the three-year-old has taken his form to a new level this season and been very consistent.

He did manage to land a low-grade handicap at Yarmouth last term, but the son of Space Blues has been a totally different proposition in 2026. Kicking the campaign off with a couple of narrow defeats, he returned to winning ways over 1m2f here last month.

Connections decided to drop him back down in trip at Southwell last week and that tactic paid dividends, as the colt landed the spoils with a very comfortable success.

An extra 6lb probably wouldn't have stopped him that day, so a similar effort should be enough here.

20:20 Windsor - Silent City @ 5/4

This is the most interesting race on the card and there are at least four runners with chances. Roger Varian runs the lightly raced filly SILENT CITY and she could be the one to side with. A consistent performer, she has only finished outside of the first three twice.

Silent City bottled up when winning a maiden here over a mile on just her second start. The form of that race hasn't really worked out but the style in which she did it was eye-catching and the runner-up did go on to win a maiden by eight lengths further down the line.

She returned to winning ways at Newmarket in September and followed that up with a valiant second in class 3 company at the same track a month later. Bumping into traffic on her first start of 2026, she kept on well and could appreciate the step up in trip here.
