Monday Greyhound Tips: Down to Donny for a trio of top tips

Our doyen of the dogs, Michael Smyth (@bettingjungle), offers up a triple threat of top tips for this afternoon's racing at Doncaster. Read on for his Monday Greyhound tips.

1 pt 15:59 Doncaster – No Coverage (T1) @ SP

Three from three at Hove yesterday with Romantic Richy (13/8), Chisem Toby (4/7) and Punkrock Perkele (5/1) all winning in impressive fashion. Today, we head to Doncaster with three selections from the Yorkshire venue. At 15:59 look out for well-drawn railer NO COVERAGE, who lines up from T1 in the A2 graded race over the four-bend 483-metre trip. Last time out over course and distance, No Coverage attempted to make all but was caught late on by Canageo who runs from T2 this afternoon.

That was the first time No Coverage had run over this trip since mid-April, so the Sarah Lapidge-trained runner should come on for that outing and will be stronger over the distance. The key to the race is the break and run into the first bend. It's imperative that No Coverage leads round and kicks two or three lengths clear down the back straight. Canageo (T2) can chase her home and fill the forecast spot. Millhouse Len (T5) is another with place claims.

1 pt 16:18 Doncaster – Trewmount Fury (T2) @ SP

The B2 graded race at 16:18 over the four-bend 450-metre trip can go to TREWMOUNT FURY in T2. The James Gaskin-trained railer is plotted up with a vacant box on his inside and with a level break, the June 2021 son of Good News can turn with the pace, hit the front and go on to win race number twenty at Doncaster. Kennelmate Daleroad Dasher (T3) rates as the main danger.

Early in the year, the October 2023 son of Malachi was in flying form, winning multiple times in B1 company. If he brings his trapping boots, Dasher will make them all go. Walks The Talk (T5) is an interesting runner on Doncaster debut. Recent 28.21 and 28.10 trials read well and, with further improvement likely, the August 2024 youngster is worth noting in the market.

1 pt 16:37 Doncaster – Droopys Freebie (T3) @ SP

The third and final selection from Doncaster this afternoon is DROOPYS FREEBIE, who runs from T3 in the B1 graded race at 16:37 over the four-bend 450-metre trip. A hat-trick of wins over course and distance in 27.97, 27.93 and last time out 27.80 read very well and, with another ping break, the March 2024 son of Droopys Flytline can make it four on the bounce.

The key to the race will be clearing Late Lola (T2) at lid rise, do that and its race on. Clona Chief (T4) is a consistent B1 and open race performer and would be a danger to all with a level break. Foxwood Carter (T6) stays on well and could be worth including in forecast bets at a price.
