Wales vs Ghana Prediction: Semenyo to prepare for his starring role

Wales don't have any FIFA World Cup plans this summer but they can help prepare Ghana for the finals. The Black Stars' past three appearances have ended at the group stage and they will hope to change that in North America. They head to Cardiff to face the Dragons on Tuesday (19:45 BST, BBC One).

Team News
Connor Roberts and Ben Davies are both involved in Wales' squad following lengthy injury spells, but they may have to settle for a place on the bench.
David Brooks, Nathan Broadhead, Sorba Thomas and Lewis Koumas could comprise the Dragons' attacking quartet because Harry Wilson withdrew from the squad.
Ghana duo Baba Abdul Rahman and Ernest Nuamah have returned to the squad and they may be in line to start in Cardiff. Antoine Semenyo, Jordan Ayew and Inaki Williams are also tussling for places in the final third.
Wales vs Ghana Predicted Lineups
- Wales: Darlow; Williams, Rodon, Mepham, DaSilva; Sheehan, Ampadu; Brooks, Broadhead, Thomas; Koumas
- Ghana: Ati-Zigi; Seidu, Oppong, Djiku, Opoku, Rahman; Partey, Sibo; Williams, Semenyo, Ayew
Wales have won two of their last four matches and they are 1/1 to come out on top here.
Their previous two outings finished level in regulation time and the draw here is marketed at 9/4.
Ghana are 5/2 to come away with the victory on Tuesday.
Betfred are offering four Price Boosts for the game, including Semenyo to score 2+ goals at 20/1.
Wales vs Ghana Stats
- Both teams have scored in each of Wales' previous 3 games
- BTTS - Yes has struck in 2 of Ghana's last 3 matches
- Antoine Semenyo scored 21 goals in all competitions in 2025/26
Both Teams To Score - Yes @ 10/11
Wales don't have much to gain from this encounter as they continue to lick their wounds after missing out on a place at the World Cup. However, Ghana will be up for this challenge to help them build some momentum before their North American adventure.
I still think the hosts will have a part to play in this friendly, so I'm backing Both Teams To Score - Yes, which has been a winning selection in each of the Dragons' past three outings.
This has also been a successful bet in two of Ghana's three most recent fixtures.

Anytime Goalscorer - Antoine Semenyo @ 11/4
After a fine season in the Premier League that saw him earn a move to Manchester City and score the FA Cup-winning goal, Semenyo will be hoping for further joy at the World Cup.
The winger scored 21 goals across all competitions in 2025/26, so his teammates will be looking to him for moments of magic over the coming weeks. He can benefit from some form in the next two friendlies, so I'm covering him to score anytime in Cardiff at 11/4, which has an implied probability of 26.7%.
