Scotland vs Curacao Prediction: Visitors can profit from Scots’ disappointing form

Scotland and Curacao clash in a friendly at Hampden Park on Saturday (1pm BST) as both begin their final preparations for the FIFA World Cup. After going two games without scoring in March, the hosts will look for an improvement in the final third here.
Dick Advocaat is back in charge of Curacao, having just led them to their first World Cup finals. Read on for my Scotland vs Curacao predictions, accompanied by the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
After a disappointing March camp, Scotland boss Steve Clarke may consider a few changes to his lineup. This could see Lawrence Shankland, who just bagged 16 goals in the Scottish Premiership, start up front.
John McGinn may be recalled in the midfield to feature alongside Scott McTominay.
Brothers Leandro and Juninho Bacuna are expected to play in midfield for Curacao, while former Manchester United youngster Tahith Chong is set to feature in attack.
Scotland vs Curacao Predicted Lineups
- Scotland: Gunn; Hickey, Hanley, McKenna, Robertson; Ferguson, McGinn; Christie, McTominay, Gannon-Doak; Shankland
- Curacao: Room; Sambo, Gaari, Obispo, Floranus; L. Bacuna, Comenencia, J. Bacuna; Chong, Locadia, Gorre
Betfred have Scotland as the 1/5 favourites to come out on top here.
The draw is on offer at 5/1, with Curaco experiencing two stalemates across their previous three matches.
Curacao are 11/1 to claim the victory and Scotland have lost three of their past four fixtures.
Shankland is deemed the 9/10 favourite to score anytime.
Scotland vs Curacao Stats
- Curacao have drawn 5 of their last 9 games
- The Blue Wave have seen Under 2.5 Goals strike in 6 of their previous 9 fixtures
- Scotland's past 2 matches were 1-0 defeats
Match Result - Draw @ 5/1
I think Scotland are going to be feeling a little vulnerable based on recent results and this can have them looking a little shaky right before the World Cup. They are up against a Curacao side expected to be running on adrenaline as they are about to make history for their country.
Advocaat's men will want to test themselves against European opposition to help prepare them for what awaits in North America over the coming weeks, and I think they are more than capable of earning a draw in Glasgow.
The visitors have record five stalemates across their last nine outings in all competitions.

Total Goals - Under 2.5 @ 11/8
I don't imagine either side will want to exert themselves too much in this friendly for fear of injuries before the World Cup, so I think it's worth covering a low-scoring game.
Under 2.5 Goals looks a sensible play at 11/8 (implied probability of 42.1%) because it has been a winning selection in six of Curacao's previous nine games across all competitions.
There were also fewer than three goals in both of Scotland's fixtures during the March international break.
