St Mirren (A) to beat Partick @ 13/8
St Mirren were lifting the Scottish League Cup trophy back in December, but now the Buddies face a battle with Partick to hold on to their Scottish Premiership status.
Cup winning manager Stephen Robinson jumped ship to Aberdeen in March, which seemed to drag the Paisley side down, but St Mirren finished the campaign in a fashion to suggest they can beat Thistle in the first-leg of this play-off final.
St Mirren ended the regular season with a 2-0 win at Aberdeen and 1-1 draw with Dundee United, firing off 26 shots at goal across those two games.
Partick were a long way off second-tier champions St Johnstone this season and this looks set to be a stern test of their credentials.
Wolfsburg (H) to beat Paderborn @ 8/11
Paderborn sneaked into the Bundesliga play-offs on the final day of second-tier action, but they were eight points adrift of champions Schalke and Wolfsburg hold all the advantages ahead of this first leg.
The Wolves hit 19 shots and created an expected goals figure of 3.50 in a 3-1 final day win at St Pauli and that followed a battling 1-0 defeat against an elite-level Bayern Munich side.
Those are strong efforts and Wolfsburg look a class above Paderborn.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
Ajax (H) to beat Groningen @ 4/5
Ajax could only manage a fifth-place finish in the Eredivisie, but the Amsterdam side should beat Groningen in this play-off semi-final as they bid to secure European football for next season.
De Godenzonen lost only two of their final 10 Eredivisie home games, while Groningen have been successful in only four of their last 12 road trips.
Ajax should have enough quality to progress.
Utrecht (H) to beat Heerenveen @ 9/10
Utrecht can meet Ajax in the play-off final by beating Heerenveen. Utrecht ended the Eredivisie regular campaign with three straight victories, a run which included a 2-1 success over Ajax.
There is a positive feeling at Stadion Galgenwaard, while Heerenveen have scored just four goals in their previous five games and may come up short.
Club Brugge (A) to beat Mechelen 4/11
It’s nine wins in 10 league matches for Club Brugge, who have scored a whopping 18 times in their last five Belgian top-flight games and battered title rivals Union Saint-Gilloise 5-0 last time out.
Mechelen have won only one of their last nine games and they are not at the level of Club Brugge, who are closing in on the title.
