Arsenal to win

Arsenal are under pressure to beat relegated Burnley on Monday night, but there is little reason to think the Gunners won’t brush Burnley aside.

Mike Aretea’s men have lost only two of their 18 home top flight matches this term, the Gunners didn’t allow the Clarets a single shot on target in a 2-0 win at Turf Moor earlier in the campaign, and Burnley now know they are heading for the Championship.

Manager Scott Parker has departed and the Clarets have failed to win any of their last 11 matches.

Arsenal vs Burnley Odds

Over 3.5 goals

It’s not a huge price that the title race comes down to goal difference and Arsenal will surely see this as an opportunity to effectively gain a point on rivals Manchester City.

A 4-0 or 5-0 win looks well within the grasp of the Gunners and there will be no easing up should they take a two or three-goal lead on Monday.

A superior goal difference would effectively count as an extra point, and that could potentially mean that Arteta’s men could afford to draw at Crystal Palace in their final game of the campaign.

Burnley finding the net would be no issue for those punting over 3.5 goals, and that looks a play, in what should be a wide-margin Arsenal success.

Arsenal vs Burnley Stats

  • ARS have won their last three PL games
  • BUR have lost their last four PL away matches; the latest three have gone over 3.5 goals
  • Saka (ARS) has scored two goals in his last three apps
  • Gyokeres (ARS) opened the scoring in November's 2-0 victory over BUR at Turf Moor

Bukayo Saka anytime goalscorer

Bukayo Saka found his goalscoring touch to notch against Fulham in the Premier League and he hit the net in the Champions League semi-final against Atletico Madrid as well recently.

The England forward has not been at his best this season, but the goalscoring threat has returned and confidence appears to have been restored.

Burnley have conceded 15 goals in their last six matches and Saka has an excellent chance of breaching the Clarets’ defence.

Viktor Gyokeres anytime goalscorer

Viktor Gyokeres has hit 21 goals in all competitions for Arsenal this season and the Swedish striker's general play has improved considerably in recent weeks.

The 27-year-old is hitting 2.2 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League this season and that number can rise against a poor Burnley side.

Arsenal managed eight shots on target in the reverse fixture in November and better can be expected at the Emirates.

Gyokeres is another Arsenal forward who can get on the scoresheet.
