RR vs GT Prediction: Runs on the cards in Jaipur

The race for a spot in the IPL playoffs is really starting to heat up with 10 games played and Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans are two of the main contenders as they are level on 12 points in fourth and fifth place in the standings.

The pair both have records of six wins and four losses, although Gujarat’s three victories on the spin mean that they arrive in the more eye-catching form for what should be a fascinating contest in Jaipur on Saturday.

This will be just the third game played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in this year’s IPL but it has proven a real benefit to the batters in both games which have been played there previously.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal are a devastating opening combination for the hosts and Donovan Ferreira has thrived in his role as finisher. Meanwhile Gujarat sport a top three of Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler.

With those talents on a batting-friendly pitch, the match total of 386.5 looks in real danger.

Kagiso Rabada top Gujarat Titans bowler @ 11/4

Kagiso Rabada has been the model of consistency for Gujarat Titans this season and that looks set to continue as they visit Rajasthan Royals.

The South African paceman has taken 16 wickets in 10 games and looks a rock-solid favourite to be the visiting team’s top bowler.

Prasidh Krishna is an obvious danger but he has tended to blow hot and cold and Rabada looks a more trustworthy selection.
