Jumps racing holds sway across the UK and Ireland on Sunday with three meetings taking place across the afternoon, with the Curragh the only Flat meeting.

The Curragh gets us under way before they go at Stratford, Tramore and Plumpton. Among our Sunday fancies is one for trainer Mrs John Harrington, who has some good form in the book and should appreciate this drop down in class.

15:35 Curragh - Green Impact @ 13/2

GREEN IMPACT brings some strong form into this and looks to have plenty going for him as he drops in class. As a two-year-old, he showed plenty of ability when beating subsequent top-level winners Delacroix and Scandinavia in a Leopardstown maiden on just his second start. He backed that up with an impressive win in the Group 2 Champions Juvenile Stakes, again finishing ahead of Delacroix.

He looked a horse to follow at three, and his seasonal return in last year's 2000 Guineas was better than the bare result suggested, finishing sixth after a long break against rivals who had already had the benefit of a run.

He got back on track when dropped in grade at Leopardstown and then ran with plenty of credit in the Irish Derby, finishing sixth and beaten just over three lengths by Epsom Derby winner Lambourn.

This is a drop in class for the four-year-old, and that could prove key. He looks the type to improve again this year, and if he handles the softer ground, he should be right there and looks capable of making a winning return.

16:10 Curragh - Starman Tom @ 13/8

Plenty of runners go to post for this 6f maiden, but the majority of the field have failed to show much in their runs so far, so it doesn’t look as competitive as it may first appear.

STARMAN TOM looks to hold very strong claims of going one better than his debut second at Cork last time out. He attracted some support in the market for his debut but was always on the back foot after dwelling at the start. Despite that, he made good headway and stayed on well at the finish to take second.

The winner, Cardiff By The Sea, had some useful form in the book, having finished second behind Charles Darwin and fourth in the Group 2 Queen Mary behind True Love, so it was a good debut performance from Starman Tom.

He is clear on RPRs with a rating of 84, and with natural improvement expected on his second start, along with the step up in trip, he should take all the beating.

15:18 Tramore - Dont Tell Jack @ 5/1

DONT TELL JACK is still a maiden after nine runs, which includes four starts over fences this season. He was beaten only around 10 lengths in a Listed novice handicap chase at Fairyhouse last April, but was then highly tried in a couple of novice chases, finishing a long way behind Predators Gold and Kitzbuhel.

His most recent run at Navan in March was a step back in the right direction when finishing third of nine. He was outpaced that day but stayed on well late, and this step back up in trip should suit.

The six-year-old now reverts to hurdles for the first time since finishing third in a maiden hurdle in February of last year. He was sent off 9/4 that day behind Ethical Diamond, earning an RPR of 120, and a repeat of that effort would give him a strong chance of finally getting off the mark.
