Nap of the Day: C’Est can take his chance in Irish National

The quality racing has been coming our way at a rapid rate during the Easter weekend and Monday provides us with a fascinating finale and there's plenty going on, with no fewer than seven meetings taking place across Britain and Ireland. We have the Irish Grand National taking place at Fairyhouse at 17:00 and there are many intriguing contenders to consider for the big race.
Meanwhile, Plumpton hosts a competitive card and there's Listed action from Kempton which isn't to be missed. Cork, Wolverhampton, Hereford and Fakenham complete the schedule and our expert's Nap of the Day runs in the Irish Grand National. The horse in question hails from the Willie Mullins yard and he has the perfect profile, as a progressive novice chaser.

This race is going to be a bit of a cavalry charge, as a full field of 30 has been declared, pretty much guaranteeing that they will go a proper gallop. The ability to jump and travel is going to be key here and an unexposed novice could be the way to go.
Willie Mullins will be desperate to win the €269,500 first prize and the progressive novice C'EST TA CHANCE could be his best chance of a winner. Improving with every start over fences so far, he runs here off a mark of 142 and could well be a 150+ horse.
He got off the mark under rules in a Clonmel maiden hurdle last season with Patrick Mullins on board, scoring by five lengths with plenty in hand. That was his only success over hurdles, but the seven-year-old has taken really well to fences this term.
It took him a couple of attempts to get the hang of things, but he got off the mark with a narrow success at Gowran in January. King Alexander was back in third and he has since boosted the form by winning and running a big race at the Cheltenham Festival.
A step up in grade was next on the agenda and he passed the assignment with flying colours, taking a Thurles Grade 3 by just shy of five lengths. The son of Elm Park will need to prove his stamina over this marathon trip, but connections must be relatively confident.
British raider The Jukebox Kid heads the market and there's plenty to like about his profile, having won the Reynoldstown at Ascot last time out and is worth trying over this sort of trip. Better Days Ahead is of interest, despite failing to fire in this race last year.
That being said, the Munir and Souede-owned novice gets the nod, as it's very likely that the best is yet to come from him.
