The Mares' Chase is another recent addition to the Cheltenham Festival, added only in 2021 when it replaced the Centenary Novices' Handicap Chase. There have been just five runnings of the Mares' Chase to date and, therefore, established trends are not as readily identified. The Grade 2 contest is now housed as the third race on Gold Cup Day.
